This SUNSEEKER robot will detect a hedgehog. You'll want it in your garden

What’s interesting about this whole structure?Well, the robot doesn't use RTK at all—in any version.Instead, it relies entirely on LiDAR and a camera.So if someone knows that RTK won't work very well for them or that they don't need to use that system, they can just buy a robot right away without having to pay extra for it.And the amount saved is substantial.In addition, the Sunseeker X4 will replace a model in the lineup that has been one of the brand’s best-selling models in Poland to date:

The X4 and X9/X9 Plus, however, are still not the whole story.The real stars of the Polish premiere were, in fact, other models.

Meet the Sunseeker X3, X5, X7, and X7 Plus robots in the Gen 2 version.

The biggest new feature here is the navigation system and a brand-new processor.What this means for the user?That the new robots will be able to move around the garden even more efficiently.In other words, they'll do what they were designed to do better.

What does this mean from a technical standpoint??That, for the most part, the models in the "civilian" series are equipped with the same navigation system as the flagship X9.While it doesn't have quite as many sensors as the more expensive model, AONavi 2.0—with nRTK and VSLAM 2.0—is definitely on board.

Once again, this means we can forget about burying the boundary wire or looking for a place to install the RTK antenna.These robots are immediately ready for setup and mowing, while also being able to determine their position with “centimeter-level precision,” all complemented by a camera system that allows them to avoid obstacles and mow even more precisely around them.

Not only that— the X5 and X7 models are equipped with an additional iToF camera, which allows them to operate—including navigating around obstacles—even at night.These models are also equipped with LED lights so you can see that something is driving across our lawn at night.

In addition, the models in this series differ mainly in details that make some better suited for larger gardens and others for smaller ones.

And so, for example, the Sunseeker X3 Gen 2 is designed for lawns with a maximum area of 800 m², features front-wheel drive, comes with 2 years of free connectivity, and can climb slopes with a gradient of up to 30 percent., It mows grass to a height of 2–6 cm, has a cutting width of 20 cm, and weighs just 9 kg.

I’d bet that if someone doesn’t have a big garden, they’ll usually ask about the X3 Gen 2 first when they go to the store..It offers a host of features found in other new models, yet comes at a surprisingly affordable price—some robot vacuums are more expensive.

If, on the other hand, you have a larger lawn, you should check out the more advanced models.The Sunseeker X5 Gen 2 is designed for lawns up to 2,000 m² in size; it features all-wheel drive (and a rear steering wheel) and can climb slopes of up to 60 percent..and will offer a 22-cm-wide cutting swath.It also features the aforementioned lighting and a camera that allows it to operate at night.

For even more demanding users, there are the X7 and X7 Plus models, designed for lawns measuring 3,000 and 6,000 m² respectively.It also features a night mowing mode, 5 years of free connectivity, and the ability to climb slopes with a gradient of up to 70 percent., all-wheel drive, electronic cutting height control (20–100 mm), and a dual-blade cutting system with a total cutting width of 35 cm.

All models also feature a rain sensor, edge-mowing capability, a floating cutting deck, the option for wireless updates, and the ability to create an unlimited number of mowing zones.

I have to admit that after the previous tests, I can’t wait to see what improvements have been made in this generation.Even last time—and my garden is really not robot-friendly—the results were really great.And now, apparently, it's going to be even, even better.
