WHETHER ONLY THE SNOWBLOWER CLEARS THE SNOW? CHECK OUT THE ALTERNATIVES AND CHOOSE THE DEVICE YOU NEED

Although winters in Poland are shorter every year, the first frost or already several centimeters of snow on the property can be a nuisance. Even if this is not a problem for you, it may be for people who cross the sidewalk belonging to your property. What to shovel snow with and what the regulations say about snow removal? Check out the article!

Legal aspects

Shoveling snow from a lingering snow cover is usually a choice - you can choose not to do it if you don't mind moving around in white powder. However, the word "usually" is key here, because sometimes a snowy sidewalk means a fine. The law specifies that property owners are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order by removing mud, snow, ice and other debris from sidewalks that are located along their property. The penalty for failing to clean up the sidewalk can be a reprimand or up to a £1,500 fine. Owners do not have to clear snow from the sidewalk when: it is not immediately adjacent to the property boundary, the municipality charges fees for parking or parking cars in a place designated for pedestrian traffic, there is a drainage ditch, green belt or other obstacle between the property boundary and the sidewalk.

Sweeper or snowblower?

Leaving aside the legal aspects of a snow-covered sidewalk - a snow cover that is on the property can simply impede movement and does not look aesthetically pleasing. Shoveling snow is tiring and time-consuming, so how to get rid of snow? Modern equipment such as sweepers and snowblowers come to the rescue. The functions of these devices may appear to be twinned, but there are several important differences.

The main difference is that the sweeper can be used not only in winter to remove snow from in front of houses. Sweeper also supports garden work during other seasons. You will use it to remove autumn leaves, dust, sand or other debris that appears within the property. Snowblowers, on the other hand, are designed to effectively remove snow. They pull it in with an auger, then crush its deposits, rake it inside and throw it up to several meters away. Sweepers, on the other hand, can't throw snow a long distance.

Can you tell which device is better? No, because the effectiveness depends m.in. on the effect you want to achieve and the amount of snow you want to get rid of. As we mentioned at the beginning - it is now difficult to have a winter during which a single rainfall will yield several tens of centimeters of snow. A sweeper will be sufficient if you get rid of a small amount of snow on a regular basis.

On the other hand, if you live in a region where it is difficult to predict the amount of snow cover, which is characterized by large anomalies, or you would simply like to have one device that combines the characteristics of two - bet on a snowblower/sweeper Cedrus ZM06E 4in1 including tank, blade and rotary plow (two-stage snowblower with manually adjustable deflector).

Easily turn your sweeper into a snowblower with a quick coupler to help you get rid of unwanted snow layer. The unit is equipped with a Loncin gasoline engine, model G200F, with a displacement of 196 cc and a maximum power of 5.5 hp. The motor has an electric starter, which must be plugged into a 230-volt outlet and started with a button. Cedrus ZM06E 4-in-1 is equipped with 5 forward and 2 reverse gears. The sweeping angle of the brush is adjustable by 15 degrees to the right and to the left using a lever from the operator's panel.

Alternative options

There are several alternatives to sweepers and snowblowers. For example, these are devices to which a blade or dozer can be mounted. It's cedrus garden tractors, single-axle tractors and transporters, which will work well for large areas where there is the possibility of pushing snow.

Also helpful will be blowers internal combustion and battery-powered machines that can handle less precipitation, in hard-to-reach areas. Great for getting rid of snow fluff from cars, patios, sidewalks or gazebos.
