This is where a generator comes to the rescue, which will support you wherever you need a reliable source of energy. However, there are more and more devices on the market and sometimes it is difficult to choose the perfect one. What to look out for? Let's start from the beginning.

What is an aggregate and what are the types?

This mobile power source, also known as a power generator. It can serve as a backup power source when you do not have access to a stable power grid, that is, wherever you are concerned about m.in. breakdowns whether due to weather conditions or power outages. Aggregators are used on a large scale not only by private individuals, but also in places such as hospitals, airports and markets.

Generators can be divided into several types, depending on the feature you consider. Thus, for example, dividing aggregates according to the type of power received, the following receivers are distinguished: inductive, non-linear and resistive. Dividing them by the way they are used - portable and stationary. On the other hand, depending on the type of fuel that powers the device, there are gasoline, diesel, gas gensets, as well as increasingly popular solutions based on renewable energy.

Mechanism of action

The generator produces electricity. However, in order for it to do so - it needs fuel. Something to convert into energy that you can use. The operation of the generator is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The main component of the genset is an internal combustion engine powered by a fuel of choice (previously mentioned: gasoline, diesel, gas) or renewable energy. Fuel is converted into mechanical work, which is transferred to the alternator. It is the alternator that generates the electricity.

The operation of the device itself is not complicated and does not require exceptional skills. It is important that you read the instruction manual for the unit in question, as well as the subsections on safety, operation and maintenance.

What to look for when choosing?

When choosing a generator set to last for many years, there are several factors to consider. The most important is power, which is the amount of electricity the genset will produce. This is an individual issue and depends on what you will be using the device for. If you are going to use them in the household - it is assumed that the power of the aggregate should be greater than the total power of the equipment in the house. It is also worthwhile to add up to 50% stock to this power. For example, when the power of all equipment in the building is 5kW, you should choose a genset with a capacity of at least 10 kW.

Which model to choose - gasoline or diesel also depends on the purpose of the unit. Those with gasoline engines are lighter and do not generate much noise, so they will work better as a source of emergency power at home or, for example, on a plot of land. Diesel, on the other hand, due to its durability and lower combustion rate, will be great for continuous operation (e.g. on construction sites).

Thus, the primary factor in choosing an aggregate becomes how it will be used. Once you know your needs and know the purpose of the device - it's time to make a choice!

The first group, or inverters, are the most compact units. They can power devices that are sensitive to voltage changes, such as computers and all kinds of electronics. Their advantage is quiet operation and the function of selecting the speed according to the power of the receiver. When the load does not need power, the speed of the genset decreases, while if the load increases - the speed rises automatically. This saves fuel, but also reduces the negative impact on the environment, as fewer pollutants enter the atmosphere.

Cedrus IN1200R generator set is the cheapest inverter unit in our offer. It is compact, with one 230-volt outlet and a 12-volt power outlet. Gives stable power of 230 V 50 Hz. Great for powering electronic devices sensitive to voltage fluctuations.

Loncin LC3000I inverter genset features low weight, small size, quiet operation and automatic speed control. Despite its small size, it has a starting power of 2,500 watts and can operate for 2.7 hours continuously (at rated power).

Another proposed device, the Loncin LC3500I is the opposite of the previous one in terms of dimensions. It has large dimensions and high weight (130 kg). The unit can work for 11h (at half load), it has two 230 V outlets, the power of its motor is 7.5 hp.

Frame generators can have different powers, different types of starting (manual or electric), they are 1-phase or 3-phase. Depending on the weight, they may have transport kits. All of them, however, have copper windings and an AVR system, or automatic voltage stabilization system.

Cedrus AG3-1F generator set was equipped with a reliable 212cc Rato engine. Its nominal power is 2,700 watts and starting power is 3,000 watts. Protection of the engine from seizure is taken care of by a sensor that will shut down the engine when the oil level is low.

Another frame aggregate in our offer is Cedrus AG7E-3F. It is a three-phase generator that provides high power and 400 volts of voltage. The unit is easy to move thanks to its wheels and transport handle. In addition, all our units have specially designed alternators with copper winding, which guarantees reliable operation.

If you are looking for a basic frame aggregate, you will definitely be interested in Loncin LC2500-AS. This is a small unit with very good specifications: engine model 168F-2, its starting power is 2200 W, nominal power is 2000 W, voltage/frequency 230 V/50 Hz, manual starter, two 230 V power outlets, and fuel tank capacity is 15 l. Unit shuts down automatically when oil level is low.

The larger device is Loncin LC8000D-AS - unit powered by a single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 420 cm3, with an electric and manual starter. Its nominal power is 6000 watts, starting power is 6500 watts. In addition, the unit has two power outlets - 230 V and 400 V - and can be optionally equipped with a transport kit.

It's time to move on to the last group, diesel generators. Noteworthy Cedrus 12 kW KD292FA Diesel. This is a professional emergency power tool that can be equipped with ATS/SZR system. This system, in the event of a mains power failure, starts the genset. The unit has a special three-phase alternator with copper windings, which guarantees reliability. In addition - a powerful two-cylinder Euro V diesel engine with a capacity of 997 cc, which generates a constant power of 11 kW.
