The chassis is based on aL-KO torsion beam, with tubeless wheels in size 145/60 R13. The dimensions of the machine are:

• width: 125 cm

• height: 180 cm

• length: 275 cm

The whole thing weighs 383 kg, which is at the same time the permissible total weight of the vehicle (GVW). The chipper is equipped with rigid drawbar with support wheel and AL-KO ball hitch, as well as lED lighting with 13-pin plug.
While towing Cedrus R13 behaves very stable, even in sharp turns.

The biggest advantage of this model is its mobility. Cedrus R13 chipper is factory mounted on an approved ALKO brand chassis.

Mobility is another huge plus - the chipper can be moved alone, and transport on a car hook is extremely convenient.
In my rental Cedrus R13 has become the most widely rented shredder due to its power, simplicity of operation and ease of transportation. Customers are delighted with its effectiveness.

Let's move on to the most important - how this chipper performs in the field?

Performance and culture

First of all: Cedrus R13 is very strong. Shreds branches up to the claimed 8 cm in diameter without any problem. It easily "pulls in" branches, as well as dense branches with needles or leaves. During Our Tests (approx. 50 mth) I have not managed to block the cutting drum even once, although, of course, with thoughtless operation it is possible.

Service and daily operations

The machine is solidly built. The sheets are thick and the quality of the welds is very good. On the plus side, they deserve:

• Easy lubrication: Used SKF branded bearings with easy access to lubrication points. You don't need to remove the belt transmission housing to lubricate both bearings, making daily service very easy.

• Quick access to knives: The hopper opens on a hinge for easy inspection and replacement.

• Drum lock: The manufacturer used a simple pin to lock the drum for knife service. A small detail, but extremely useful.

Verdict: Why it has become a hit in the rental business?

I am delighted with the mobility of this chipper. It can be easily repositioned on its own, and the comfort of transporting the machine on a hook is simply fabulous. Finally no more loading heavy RB04 on the bus.

In the rental business, the Cedrus R13 has instantly become the most rented shredder. Customers praise it for its immense power, and we praise it for its service simplicity and ease of transportation. At the moment, it's our favorite chipper.
