Establishing a garden
Designing a garden can be a very difficult and time-consuming task, especially for someone who has no experience in this area. To get the best result, establishing a garden is best started by creating a design, a sketch on a piece of paper, taking into account flowers, shrubs, trees, vegetable beds paths and buildings.
To make the garden a harmonious whole, it is necessary to choose the style of its arrangement. Recently, gardens as if from mail-order catalogs have become increasingly popular. Evenly trimmed lawn, flowers, rockery and pond. This is an elegant and aesthetically pleasing solution, but it has become monotonous. Plants give us a lot of opportunities for creative development of the space around the house, so that we are sure to stand out from the neighbors.
The first style, successfully used by those living on the outskirts of cities, is country garden. It is very picturesque and blends harmoniously with its surroundings. It usually uses plants that are not very sophisticated, "peculiar", associated with old times. Their plus side is usually lower price and wide availability. In a country garden, we can indulge in contrasting color combinations and a certain disorder in the placement of plants - they can form a colorful, disorderly thicket. There's also no getting around the heavy pots set up on porches and windowsills. This type of garden is sure to have room for vegetable beds and fruit trees. We can also choose to plant aromatic herbs, which are primarily useful in the kitchen. Some of them, such as golden-leafed lemon balm, also have decorative properties. When arranging a garden in the country style, it is important to remember that our main goal is to create a peaceful space where you can enjoy the simplicity of life in nature.
Another style we can use is english style. It became popular in the early 18th century as a response to the artificiality and rigor of Baroque gardens. Sam alludes to natural landscapes. So it can't lack winding paths, aged sculptures and even ruins. Large amounts of shrubs and low trees will fit well into the style. Flowers can be of different species, but preferably of similar color. A classic plant that will work well in this type of space is the rose. All kinds of vines, such as ivy, will also fit. The whole thing should create an atmosphere of mystery and affect our senses. The beautiful flowers will please our eye, the wafting fragrance will please our sense of smell, and the chirping of birds among the trees will please our hearing. Such a garden is the perfect place to relax.
A suggestion for adventurous people who want their home to be surrounded by a truly remarkable space is japanese style. Its main advantage is that even in a small area you can create an original composition. Gardens with their roots in the Far East are mainly characterized by asymmetry - all elements must be odd. It must also not lack water, which brings life, and rocks - a symbol of constancy. Essential when designing a garden in this style turn out to be stone lanterns and paths laid with flat, individual stones. As for vegetation, it is dominated by green plants, and colorful flowers are only an accent. Although everything in a Japanese garden is supposed to look like it was created by nature, caring for it is very difficult and time-consuming. In Polish climatic conditions, the very selection of plants may prove to be a problem. However, if we overcome all odds, we can enjoy our own piece of Japan outside our window.
