Honda GX160 GX200 28400-Z4M-801ZB Starter – a reliable manual starter for internal combustion engines
Honda Starter Motor for GX160 and GX200 Engines, Part Number 28400-Z4M-801ZB This is a high-quality replacement part designed to ensure smooth, fast, and reliable starting of Honda GX160 and Honda GX200 internal combustion engines.. This is a complete starting mechanism, also commonly referred to as a starter or manual starter, which, when the handle is pulled, sets the motor shaft in motion and allows the drive unit to start operating.
This product was designed for users who expect durability, a perfect fit, and trouble-free operation of their garden, construction, workshop, and service equipment.. This starter motor is ideal for both repairing equipment used seasonally and for heavy-duty machinery, where quick engine startup directly affects work comfort and efficiency.
The Honda GX160 GX200 28400-Z4M-801ZB starter is a durable replacement part for fast and reliable engine starts. Compatible with m.in. with the CEDZG88H-PRO and CEDZG158HR-PRO. Perfect for servicing garden machinery and equipment.
Honda GX160 GX200 28400-Z4M-801ZB Hand Starter – Quick Start, Durable Construction, and Secure Fit
The most important function of this component is to allow the engine to be started manually. The starter mechanism consists of a housing, a handle, a starter cord, a drum, and components that engage with the engine's flywheel. When you pull the handle firmly, the cable unwinds, and the mechanism transfers the motion to the crankshaft, allowing the engine to start. It is a simple, practical, and proven solution that is widely used in internal combustion engines found in garden and construction equipment.
Quick Engine Start That's one of the biggest advantages of this starter motor. A smooth-operating starting mechanism reduces the risk of ineffective tugging, the line getting jammed, or problems with the handle returning to its original position. In everyday use, this means fewer downtimes and greater convenience, especially when the device needs to be started up multiple times throughout the day. This is important, among other things, when working with generators, compactors, pumps, tillers, garden equipment, and other devices powered by GX160 and GX200 engines.
Durable construction contributes to the product's long service life. The starter housing is designed to withstand typical operating conditions: engine vibrations, frequent starts, fluctuating temperatures, and exposure to dust and dirt encountered while working in the garden, on a construction site, or in a workshop. The sturdy handle ensures a secure grip, and the carefully selected cable mechanism allows for comfortable pulling without excessive effort.
Compatible with popular Honda GX160 and GX200 engines makes it easier to replace a worn-out or damaged part. The starter is designed to be installed in place of the factory starter motor, most often on the side of the engine housing, on the flywheel side. This makes replacement a practical solution when servicing equipment that does not start properly due to a broken cable, a damaged drum, a worn return spring, or a deformed starter housing.
In practice, the starter is used in any application where a Honda GX160 or GX200 engine serves as the power source for the equipment. It can be used in garden equipment, construction equipment, power units, gas-powered pumps, cleaning machines, cutters, compactors, generators, and other machines with internal combustion engines that have a compatible mounting. This is particularly important for users who want to quickly restore their device to full working order without having to replace the entire motor.
Replacement part for machines with Honda GX160/GX200 engines—reliability, easy installation, and a wide range of applications
The Honda starter motor for the GX160 and GX200 engines (part number 28400-Z4M-801ZB) is mounted directly on the engine, in the location intended for the manual starting system.. This component works in conjunction with the flywheel and the power unit's starting mechanism. A properly installed starter allows for the efficient transfer of force from the cord to the engine mechanism, enabling the user to start the device in the traditional way—by pulling the handle.
Reliability in Daily Operation is particularly important in equipment used professionally. Whether at a gardening service, a construction company, a farm, or a repair shop, any delay caused by a startup problem means a loss of time. Replacing a worn-out starter with a working model 28400-Z4M-801ZB helps restore the device to full functionality and increases the reliability of engine starts when the equipment is needed for operation.
Easy installation makes the starter a practical choice for service repairs and do-it-yourself replacement by people with basic technical experience. The component is installed at the mounting points provided for the starter motor in a compatible engine. Before making a purchase, it's a good idea to compare the part number, mounting hole pattern, and motor model to ensure that the product is compatible with your specific device.
Wide range of applications makes the starter a versatile service component in many types of machines. It can be useful, among other things, when repairing a portable generator used on a plot of land, a gas-powered pump used to remove water, a tiller preparing the soil for cultivation, a compactor operating on a construction site, or any other machine equipped with a Honda GX160 or GX200 engine. This makes it a part worth having on hand when servicing combustion engines and equipment.
This product is especially recommended in situations where the existing starter has a cracked housing, a damaged cable, a faulty return spring, engagement issues, or fails to ensure smooth return of the handle. Replacing the entire starter assembly may be a faster, more convenient, and more predictable solution than repairing individual, heavily worn components.
