Cedrus C-GO-5R-MB5 Charging Connector 290189 – a secure connection between the charger and the battery
The charging port is a component of the scooter's electrical system that allows a charger to be connected to the power supply. In practice, this means that the battery’s charging stability, the safety of the connection, and the comfort of everyday vehicle use all depend on its technical condition.A damaged, worn-out, or loose socket may cause the charging process to stop, the device to not respond when the charger is plugged in, or require the cable to be positioned at a specific angle.
Available Cedrus 290189 charging socket is designed as a replacement part for Cedrus scooters. Its main advantage is its compatibility with specific vehicle models, which reduces the risk of making a bad purchase. This is particularly important for electrical components, where the proper selection of wires, connectors, and mounting hardware directly affects the proper operation of the entire system.
Some of these tips will work just as well for repairing a scooter used daily for commuting as they will for a vehicle used seasonally. If the scooter is not charging properly, and the socket is mechanically damaged, loose, or shows signs of wear, replacing it with the appropriate replacement part may restore full functionality to the charging system.
Where is the Cedrus 290189 charging outlet installed??
Cedrus C-GO-5R-MB5 Scooter Charging Port 290189 It is installed in place of the scooter’s factory charging connector, i.e., at the point intended for connecting the charger. This component is connected to the vehicle's electrical system and the wires leading to the battery charging system.Installation should take place at the same location as the original socket provided by the manufacturer.
Replacing the socket is recommended if the existing one is mechanically damaged, has a cracked housing, loose contacts, or causes unstable charging. In everyday use, the outlet is plugged in and unplugged repeatedly, so it may show signs of natural wear and tear over time. This new part restores the scooter's ease of use—simply plug in the charger and start charging without any loose connections or power interruptions.
Given the nature of the electrical component, it is advisable to have the installation performed by someone with the appropriate technical experience.Properly connecting the cables and ensuring the socket is securely installed ensures safe charging and the scooter's reliable performance in future seasons.
