- Cedrus 7.7 mm spacer for groomer cassette CEDRSM01 and CEDRSM02 (code 780881). Original spare part to ensure proper fit, stable operation and long life of the device. Ideal for professional and home use.
Cedrus 7.7mm spacer for groomer cassette CEDRSM01 and CEDRSM02 (code 780881) is a genuine replacement part designed for professional and home groomers by Cedrus. Responsible for proper fit of groomer cartridge components, stable operation of the working shaft and protection of components from excessive wear and tear. Thanks to the properly selected thickness of 7.7 mm, the shim provides the ideal distance between mating parts, which translates into even operation and high-quality lawn care.
Precision spacer 7.7 mm Cedrus groomer cartridge CEDRSM01 CEDRSM02 - what it is and how it works?

The 7.7mm Cedrus spacer is a mechanical element in the form of a steel ring with a specific height, designed specifically to work with the groomer's cassette on the CEDRSM01 and CEDRSM02 models. Its main task is to maintain the proper distance between mating parts of the working system, such as bearings, bushings or cassette components, so that the mechanism runs smoothly, without jams or excessive backlash.
In practice, this means that the pad:
- adjusts the elements of the groomer cassette in the correct position relative to the shaft and housing,
- prevents "metal-on-metal" friction that could lead to rapid wear of parts,
- stabilizes the operation of the entire working unit, which translates into even combing and aeration of the lawn.
For the user - both the professional gardener and the owner of a home lawn - this means the certainty that the groomer works evenly, and that the results of turf care are repeatable and predictable: the grass is thoroughly combed, the felt is removed, and the lawn surface is prepared for further care.
Application and installation location of Cedrus 7.7 mm spacer in groomer cassettes CEDRSM01 and CEDRSM02

The 7.7 mm spacer is installed within the groomer cassette on the CEDRSM01 and CEDRSM02 models. In practice, it is located on the shaft or at the bearing-oil assembly, where it is responsible for:
- setting the cassette at the correct mounting depth,
- maintaining proper working clearance between moving and fixed components of the structure,
- transmission of axial loads that arise when the groomer is in contact with the turf.
Proper placement and thickness of the shim is critical:
- proper operation of the groomer shaft - too little distance would lead to rubbing of parts, too much would cause backlash and noise,
- durability of bearings and bushings - the right spacer protects them from overloading,
- comfort of use - groomer does not vibrate excessively, does not make noise and does not require frequent adjustments.
Typical application situations in daily operations:
- Periodic groomer service - when inspecting the machine, removing the cassette and replacing the bearings, the spacer should be checked and replaced with a new one if worn out.
- Repair after collision or overload - when the groomer encounters a stone, root or other hard obstacle, the spacers may become deformed; replacing the shim restores the parts to their proper alignment.
- Cartridge reconditioning - when renewing or replacing the working parts of the CEDRSM01 or CEDRSM02 groomer cassette, the original pads are used to maintain the factory operating parameters.
Why choose a genuine 7.7mm Cedrus groomer spacer CEDRSM01 CEDRSM02?

Using genuine Cedrus spare parts is a guarantee of full compatibility and reliability of the equipment. The 7.7mm spacer is designed and manufactured to groomer manufacturer's specifications CEDRSM01 and CEDRSM02, which means:
- its dimensions are perfectly matched to the shafts, bushings and cassette body,
- the material used provides adequate mechanical strength and abrasion resistance,
- thickness of 7.7 mm ensures that the factory setting of the entire working system is maintained.
The benefits of choosing an original Cedrus pad for the user:
- Longer life of the groomer - Proper spacing reduces wear and tear on the shaft, bearings and other moving parts, so your equipment will last longer without costly repairs.
- Lower service costs - Instead of replacing entire assemblies, simply replace the spacer at the appropriate time, significantly reducing operating costs.
- Trouble-free operation during the season - efficient groomer cassette mechanism allows you to focus on caring for your lawn rather than constantly fixing malfunctions.
Examples of practical applications:
- at a gardening company that handles multiple lawns and relies on reliable equipment throughout the season,
- at housing estate and community boards, where Cedrus groomers work regularly on large areas of green space,
- in households where the owner wants to maintain a presentable lawn around the house or residence.

The Cedrus spacer is designed so that its replacement is possible both in a professional service center and in a well-equipped home workshop. The general procedure for replacement (always follow the instructions for the specific groomer model) includes:

- Removal of guards and protective elements of the groomer's cassette.
- Removal of the cassette from the body and removal of the shaft or assembly at which the washer works.
- Removal of worn or damaged spacer.
- Installation of the new 7.7mm Cedrus washer in the intended location.
- Reassembly of the cassette, inspection of working clearances and test of groomer operation.
In daily use, replacing the pad can be a part:
- pre-season equipment review - to prepare the groomer for intensive work,
- post-season review - to minimize corrosion and wear during storage,
- repairs after detecting backlash, noise or uneven operation of the groomer cassette.
Thanks to the simple design and good availability of parts, the user can quickly restore full efficiency of the device, avoiding long downtime and loss of quality lawn care.
FAQ - Frequently asked questions about the 7.7mm Cedrus groomer cartridge spacer CEDRSM01 CEDRSM02 780881
1. Does the 7.7mm Cedrus spacer fit models other than the CEDRSM01 and CEDRSM02?
The pad was designed as an original part for the groomer's cassettes of the Cedrus models CEDRSM01 and CEDRSM02. Its use in other devices or models should be consulted each time with the service or manufacturer to ensure full compatibility and safe operation.
2. How to know when you need to replace the spacer in the groomer?
The following may indicate the need for shim replacement: enlarged clearances within the groomer cassette, unusual noise during operation, visible signs of wear or distortion of the spacers, and problems with even operation of the work shaft. If in doubt, it is worth conducting a full review of the mechanism.
3. Are specialized tools needed to replace the washer?
In most cases, standard workshop tools will suffice (wrenches, sockets, and possibly a bearing puller). However, always follow the unit's service manual and take special care when working with rotating parts.
4. Does the use of a non-original pad affect the warranty and durability of the device?
The use of non-original parts may affect the terms of the manufacturer's warranty and increase the risk of accelerated wear of mating components. Genuine Cedrus 7.7mm spacer ensures dimensional and material compatibility to protect the groomer mechanism and promote long, trouble-free operation.
5. How to store replacement Cedrus spacers?
It is a good idea to store the pads in a dry place, in the original packaging or in a container that protects them from moisture and contamination. As a result, the surface of the component remains clean, non-corrosive, and installation in the device is fast and trouble-free.
6. Is one 7.7 mm spacer enough to completely service a groomer cassette?
The number of shims required depends on the design of the specific cassette model and the extent of the service performed. Often a set of spacers is replaced on both sides of the shaft or at several support points. If in doubt, it is a good idea to check the technical documentation of the device or consult the service department.
