- Cedrus 20.7 mm spacer for CEDSMR11/CEDSMR12 skimmer cartridge (code 780771). Genuine spare part to guarantee correct distance, stable operation and long life of Cedrus clarifier. Ideal for service and repair.
Spacer bushing 20.7 mm Cedrus cartridge clarifier CEDSMR11 CEDSMR12 780771 is an original spare part designed for Cedrus brand scarifiers equipped with a working cassette of the models CEDSMR11 and CEDSMR12. This element is responsible for maintaining the proper distance, alignment and stability of the entire working unit, which directly translates into the efficiency of lawn aeration, even cutting and extended life of the device.
The bushing is made of durable metal, precision-machined, making it a perfect fit for the original Cedrus skimmer cartridge. Using original parts - such as the 20.7 mm spacer - minimizes the risk of backlash, improper shaft seating or accelerated wear of bearings and other working components.
Product part number: 780771
Auxiliary code/designation: 4034926
EAN: 5906434265365
The spacer is mounted on the axle/shaft of the sizing cassette and is responsible for the precise spacing of the elements on the shaft, ensuring the correct guidance of the tool on the ground. This part is especially important for heavy use, seasonal service, and replacement of worn components of the work unit.
Cedrus CEDSMR11/CEDSMR12 20.7 mm spacer - what it is and why it is so important?

The spacer is a a metal element with a cylindrical shape, which acts as a precise spacer between the moving parts in the working assembly of the scarifier. On Cedrus CEDSMR11 and CEDSMR12 models, the spacer is 20.7 mm:
- Maintains proper spacing between the working elements of the scarification cassette, preventing their friction against each other and excessive wear.
- Ensures alignment and stable shaft guidance, which is important both for the even operation of the knives and for the comfort of the operator (less vibration, quieter operation).
- Protects adjacent components - bearings, rings, spacers and mounts - against overloads resulting from improper cassette alignment.
In practice, this means that even such a small component as a spacer has a significant impact on the effectiveness of lawn scarification. The lawn after treatment with a device that is in perfect working condition has evenly combed out felts, and the turf is properly aerated across the entire working width.
Examples of everyday uses for the spacer:
- Seasonal replacement of worn parts of the scarifier cassette before the start of spring gardening work.
- Repair after accidental mechanical damage to the shaft (e.g., after hitting a stone), when it is necessary to dismantle and reassemble the working unit.
- Reconditioning of a used Cedrus scarifier bought from the aftermarket to restore its factory operating parameters.
Installation of the 20.7 mm spacer in the Cedrus scarifier cartridge - where and how to use it?

The 20.7 mm Cedrus spacer is designed for installation in cedrus CEDSMR11 and CEDSMR12 filler cartridges. It is deposited on the shaft/axle of the cassette between adjacent components, such as knife segments, rings or bearings, to achieve proper spacing and positioning of the various parts.
A typical installation scheme is as follows:
- Removal of the skimmer cassette from the device, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Disassembly of the working shaft, removal of worn spacers or damaged bushings.
- Installation of a new 20.7 mm spacer in place as structurally intended by the manufacturer.
- Check that the bushing fits evenly and all components rotate freely without excessive play.
- Reassembly and installation of the cassette in the scarifier and test the operation of the device on a small part of the lawn.
When the bushing is properly installed:
- The shaft rotates smoothly, without beating or excessive vibration.
- The knives or springs of the scarifier maintain the proper distance from the housing and from each other.
- The risk of damage to bearings and other components is significantly reduced.
In everyday use, the 20.7 mm spacer will prove useful wherever the scarifier works intensively: in home gardens with a large area, in green areas at corporate facilities or on recreational plots where the condition of the lawn is regularly taken care of.
Use of 20.7 mm Cedrus spacer - efficient and safe operation of the scarifier

The 20.7 mm Cedrus spacer is primarily used as a service and operating part in Cedrus CEDSMR11 and CEDSMR12 scarifiers. Its main task is to support you in keeping your equipment in perfect working order, which translates into:
- High effectiveness of scarification - correct distance between the working elements guarantees even cutting and combing of the lawn.
- Safety of use - Stably guided shaft minimizes the risk of sudden vibration, blockage or damage to the housing.
- Lower operating costs - The use of the original spacer reduces wear and tear on other parts, reducing the frequency of major repairs.
Examples of practical application of the spacer:
- Professional seasonal service - Service workshops and stores that repair gardening equipment use spacers during the comprehensive reconditioning of work cassettes.
- Home DIY - The owner of a Cedrus scarifier who self-services his equipment can easily replace the bushing using basic tools and instructions.
- Restore full functionality of the device - after several seasons of intensive operation, replacing bushings and other spacers allows to regain a scarification effect similar to a new device.
Why choose the original Cedrus 20.7 mm spacer 780771?

By choosing the original 20.7 mm Cedrus spacer with the number 780771, you gain the assurance that the part has been designed specifically for the CEDSMR11 and CEDSMR12 scarifier cartridges. This means:
- Guaranteed compatibility - there is no need to fit, grind or make-up parts, and the risk of incorrect installation is reduced to a minimum.
- Durability and resilience - the sleeve is made of solid metal resistant to mechanical stress and conditions in the garden.
- Stable operating parameters of the scarifier - maintaining factory dimensions and tolerances translates into reproducible scarification results each season.
The original spacer will work well for both individual users and professional gardeners for whom equipment reliability is crucial during the busy season. This is a small investment that extends the life of the entire scarifier and avoids costly failures.

FAQ - the most common questions about the 20.7 mm Cedrus CEDSMR11/CEDSMR12 spacer 780771
Question 1: Does the 20.7 mm Cedrus spacer fit other scarifier models than the CEDSMR11 and CEDSMR12?
Answer: The bushing was designed as an original part for Cedrus CEDSMR11 and CEDSMR12 scarifier cartridges. Its use in other models, without confirmation in the technical documentation, may result in incorrect installation or incorrect operation of the device. It is recommended to use bushings only in models indicated by the manufacturer.
Question 2: When is it necessary to replace the spacer in the Cedrus scarifier?
Answer: The bushing is worth replacing when you notice obvious signs of wear, abrasion, deformation, corrosion, or when there is excessive play on the cassette shaft. In practice, the replacement is often performed with a comprehensive cassette service after several seasons of intensive operation or after mechanical damage to the working unit.
Question 3: Can I install the 20.7 mm spacer myself?
Answer: Yes, many users replace the spacers themselves, using basic tools and following safety rules. It is important to carefully remember the order of the components on the shaft and to carefully tighten all connections. If you don't have experience in servicing garden equipment, it's a good idea to have an authorized service center install it.
Question 4: Can using a non-original bushing damage the scarifier?
Answer: The use of bushings with different dimensions or made of inferior material can lead to improper spacing of working elements, excessive clearances, noise, and even damage to the shaft and bearings. Genuine Cedrus 20.7 mm spacer 780771 guarantees compliance with the device design and safe operation.
Question 5: Will replacing the spacer alone improve the effects of scarification?
Answer: Replacing the spacer is one of the components of the comprehensive service. On its own, it will improve the stability and culture of the device, but you will get the best results from scarification by combining it with the inspection of the condition of the blades, springs, bearings and the adjustment of the depth of the scarifier.
