Cutting height lever Cedrus lawn mower CEDLP53S CEDLP53S-H 485947 is an original spare part designed for Cedrus lawn mowers models CEDLP53S and CEDLP53S-H. This element is responsible for convenient manual adjustment of the cutting blade working height, and thus for the level and appearance of the lawn. Thanks to the original lever with the code 485947 you maintain the full functionality of your Cedrus mower, ensure the safety of use and avoid problems associated with the use of unsuitable replacements. It is ideal for professional landscapers and home garden owners who expect trouble-free and comfortable equipment operation for many seasons.
Cedrus CEDLP53S CEDLP53S-H mowing height lever 485947 - what it is and what it is responsible for?
The mowing height lever is a key part of the mower's adjustment system. On Cedrus CEDLP53S and CEDLP53S-H models, it acts as a the mechanical position controller of the cutting unit. With a single, smooth movement, the user changes the position of the wheels and the blade relative to the ground, adjusting the mowing height to suit the current needs of the lawn.
The presented item was made of durable steel, protected by a black lacquer coating, which protects against corrosion and mechanical damage. Red ergonomically shaped plastic handle provides comfortable grip even with work gloves and makes it easier to find the lever when working in thick grass.
In practice, this means that each time you adjust the mowing height is quick and repeatable - whether you're preparing your lawn for the first spring cut or just lightly trimming the turf before a weekend barbecue.

Where the Cedrus mowing height lever for the CEDLP53S and CEDLP53S-H mowers is installed?
The Cedrus mowing height lever, code 485947, is mounted directly to the body of the mower, on one of its sides. With the help of appropriately placed mounting holes, it is connected to the wheel axle adjustment mechanism and the step lock, which allows you to select a specific height position. The system is fully integrated into the design of the mower, making the adjustment stable and shockproof.
Installation is carried out in the manufacturer's factory-prepared locations, which minimizes the risk of confusion and guarantees the proper operation of the entire system. The holes in the lever fit the original mounting points on Cedrus CEDLP53S and CEDLP53S-H mowers, and a special clip works with the ratchet of the adjustment mechanism. As a result, once one of the height positions is set, the lever remains securely locked and does not move by itself during operation.
In everyday use, this means that you can maneuver the mower over uneven terrain, under trees or near flowerbeds without worry - the selected cutting height is maintained and the lawn over the entire width of the passage is of uniform length.

Using Cedrus 485947 mowing height lever - perfect turf in all conditions
The use of the Cedrus mowing height lever is extensive, and its role in the daily operation of the mower - crucial. This is what determines whether the lawn will be cut low as a football field, whether you leave the stalks slightly longer to better withstand drought and heat. With just one hand movement, the machine can be adjusted to current conditions and the desired aesthetic effect.
Example applications:
- Spring's first mowing - setting a greater height to gently shorten the overgrown grass after winter, without the risk of damaging it.
- Regular mowing in summer - Selection of a medium height that will provide a dense, resilient carpet of greenery ideal for recreation and children's playtime.
- Preparing your lawn for the vacations - Setting a lower cut to keep the grass looking aesthetically pleasing longer when it is not mowed for a few days.
The lever will work well on both small home lawns and larger areas around single-family homes, recreational plots or corporate sites. Its sturdy construction and well-thought-out design translate into ease of use even for those who use the mower occasionally.

- Regular cleaning - after you finish mowing, remove the remains of grass, sand and mud from around the lever. This prevents accidental blockage of the mechanism and accelerated corrosion.
- Periodic lubrication of joints - once in a while it is recommended to gently lubricate the moving points of the lever and adjustment mechanism with a suitable lubricant, which will ensure smooth operation.
- Inspection of technical condition - if you notice obvious play, bending of the arm or a problem with locking positions, it is worthwhile to carry out an inspection as soon as possible and, if necessary, replace the component with a new one.
Thanks to such simple measures, the lever will retain its properties for a long time, and the mowing height adjustment will remain light and precise. This has a direct impact on the appearance of the lawn, the comfort and safety of the mower user.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Does the 485947 cutting height lever fit other mower models than the Cedrus CEDLP53S and CEDLP53S-H?
The presented lever was designed as an original part for Cedrus models CEDLP53S and CEDLP53S-H. Its shape, mounting hole spacing and interaction with the adjustment mechanism are tailored specifically to these mowers. Use on other models may not be possible or may require modifications, so it is recommended to use it only on the devices indicated by the manufacturer.
2. How to recognize that the mowing height lever needs to be replaced?
The need for replacement may be indicated by difficulty in changing the cutting height, inability to lock the lever in the selected position, pronounced bending of the arm, cracks in the material or damage to the handle. If the mower does not maintain a constant cutting height and the wheel mechanism itself is in working order, it is worth checking the condition of the lever and consider installing a new part.
3. Can I do the lever replacement myself?
In most cases, replacing the mowing height lever is not complicated and can be done by yourself with basic tools (wrenches, screwdriver). The most important thing is to follow safety rules - the mower should be turned off and the spark plug disconnected. If you are inexperienced in this type of work, get help from an authorized service center or an experienced garden equipment mechanic.
4. Does the use of the original lever affect the warranty of the mower?
Using genuine Cedrus parts is in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and helps maintain the performance of the equipment according to specifications. For warranty repairs, the service usually requires the installation of original components, so using a dedicated lever with code 485947 is the safest solution both technically and formally.
5. What mowing height can I set with this lever?
The range of available cutting heights is derived from the specifications of the Cedrus CEDLP53S or CEDLP53S-H mower. The lever allows you to select several degrees of knife position (usually from low cut to higher, protective). You will find the exact values in millimeters in the manual of your mower, while the lever itself is the element that allows you to smoothly change these settings.
