FAQ - Frequently asked questions about the GPi 6 cordless saw with extra battery pack
Question 1: For what work is the GPi 6 OTH-GSKAGPI6Z aku saw best suited?
The GPi 6 saw is designed primarily for garden and household work: pruning branches of fruit trees, shrubs, hedges, cleaning up the area after windstorms and preparing kindling wood. It is ideal where a lightweight, handy and quiet cutter is needed instead of a heavy petrol chainsaw.
Question 2: How long can I run on one battery?
Approximate working time on a single battery is approx. 30 minutes, depending on the intensity and type of cuts performed. In the presented set you receive two rechargeable batteries 1.5 Ah, which realistically extends the operating time up to about an hour, with a short break to change batteries.
Question 3: Can the saw handle thicker branches?
The recommended cutting diameter is 60 mm for dry wood and 80 mm for wet wood. This means that the saw can handle most branches found in a home garden very well. For very thick branches, consider cutting on two sides beforehand or using a larger chainsaw.
Question 4: How to take care of the chain and bar on this saw?
To ensure the long life of the cutting system, you should regularly check the chain tension (adjusted manually with a screw) and use oil lubrication with the help of a built-in hand pump. From time to time, it is also a good idea to clean the bar and chain of sawdust, and if necessary sharpen the chain or replace it with a new one.
Question 5: Does the saw require special maintenance after the season?
After the gardening season is over, it is recommended:
- thoroughly clean the sawdust and debris,
- checking the condition of the chain and guide bar and lubricating them,
- storage of the device in carrying case in a dry place,
- charge the batteries to the recommended level and store them at room temperature.
Question 6: Is the GPi 6 saw suitable for novice users?
Yes. Thanks to light weight, ergonomic design and intuitive operation gPi 6 cordless saw is a very good choice for those who are just beginning their adventure in tending the garden. Just read the safety instructions, use gloves and safety glasses, and work according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Question 7: What are the main advantages of buying a kit with an additional battery pack?
A set with an additional battery provides longer, uninterrupted operation, greater flexibility in scheduling tasks in the garden and more favorable price compared to the later, separate purchase of a second battery. This solution is especially recommended for those who have a larger garden or several plots of land on which they regularly do cleaning work.
