Oleo-Mac 2000 splitting axe - top quality steel and reliable blade
The key component of any axe is the blade. In the model Oleo-Mac 2000 they are made of high-quality induction-hardened steel. The induction hardening process makes the cutting edge extremely hard and resistant to dulling, yet flexible enough not to be brittle. With this, the blade:
- maintains sharpness for a very long time, even under heavy use,
- allows for deep penetration into the wood structure with each impact,
- is less susceptible to chipping, deformation and mechanical damage.
Examples of daily use:
- splitting hardwoods (e.g., oak, beech) into logs for the fireplace,
- dividing large blocks of wood from deciduous and coniferous trunks,
- preparation of firewood for the entire heating season without frequent sharpening of the tool.

Ergonomic fiberglass composite handle with SAFETOUCH™ coating
In a splitting axe, comfort is of paramount importance. Model Oleo-Mac 2000 has glass fiber reinforced composite handle, which provides an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. This makes the axe lightweight, but at the same time extremely resistant to cracking and deformation.
The most important advantage, however, is excellent vibration absorption on impact. The user experiences less strain on wrists, elbows and shoulders, which is crucial for prolonged work.
In addition, a large part of the handle is covered with a soft, non-slip SAFETOUCH™ surface, which guarantees a firm grip even when your hands are sweaty or when you are working with work gloves.
Examples of practical application:
- all-day preparation of wood for the fireplace without feeling numbness in the hands and pain in the wrists,
- safe work in cold weather when hands are less able - non-slip coating keeps axe stable,
- use by several household members with different strength - ergonomic handle helps both more and less experienced people to work effectively.
Oleo-Mac 2000 splitting axe - perfect balance, length and weight
The tool has a 740 mm long and weight of 2.0 kg. This choice of parameters makes the axe:
- provides very good leverage on impact - the sweeping force translates into powerful splitting,
- it is light enough that it is also comfortable to work with for less skilled people,
- allows comfortable work both from the ground level and on the work stump (block).
Application in daily work:
- splitting blocks on the stump - the length of the handle allows for a comfortable sweep without having to bend too far,
- working in a confined space (e.g., at a shed, under a shed) - the axe is not too long, so it is easy to control the sweep,
- preparation of smaller and medium sized logs, which are easier to arrange in a stove, fireplace or eco-pea boiler with a grate.
Safety of use - TÜV G certificate, multifunctional cover and solid connection of the head to the handle
The Oleo-Mac 2000 splitting axe has a tÜV G safety certificate, which means that it meets the stringent requirements for quality of materials, durability of construction and safety of use. The head is permanently and tightly fused to the shaft, so there is no risk of it coming loose or falling off during operation.
The kit also includes multifunctional cover, which:
- protects the blade during storage and transportation,
- protects the user and the environment from accidental injury,
- makes it easy to carry the tool - allows you to comfortably grab the axe, even in the car or in a cramped utility room.
This translates directly into the comfort of daily work: you can transport the axe in the trunk without worry, store it in the garage next to other tools and be sure that the blade remains protected and the tool ready for use.
Durability for years - Polish production and 25-year warranty after registration
Oleo-Mac 2000 splitting axe has been manufactured in Poland, with attention to every detail. The manufacturer trusts the quality of its product so much that it offers a 25-YEAR GUARANTEE after registering the product on the dedicated website. This is a significant advantage over many other axes on the market that do not have such a long protection period.
User benefits:
- confidence that you are investing in a tool that will serve for years of intensive work,
- peace of mind and security - if a defect is found, you have the manufacturer's support,
- saving - you do not need to buy a new axe every season, because this one retains its properties for a very long time.
Use of Oleo-Mac 2000 splitting axe at home, farm and business

FAQ - Frequently asked questions about the Oleo-Mac 2000 splitting axe
1. For which wood is the 2000 Oleo-Mac splitting axe best suited?
The axe is mainly designed for splitting medium-sized logs with a diameter of more than 25 cm. It perfectly handles both hardwood (oak, beech, hornbeam) and coniferous wood (spruce, pine). It will work well for preparing fireplace and firewood.
2. Can the axe be used by less experienced people?
Yes. Thanks to its proper balance, ergonomic handle with SAFETOUCH™ coating and relatively light weight, the tool is also friendly to less experienced users. However, basic safety rules for working with cutting tools should always be observed.
3. How to take care of the blade to keep it sharp for a long time?
When you're done, it's a good idea to clean the blade of resin and dirt, and then dry it off. Periodically it is recommended to lightly oil the cutting surface and store the axe with the guard on. If the blade begins to dull, it can be sharpened with a file or hardened steel sharpener.
4. What is the difference between a splitting axe and a regular all-purpose axe?
The splitting axe has a wider, wedge-shaped head designed to split wood fibers rather than cut through them. This makes splitting blocks much easier and requires fewer strokes. An ordinary all-purpose axe is better suited for limbing or cutting, but is less effective for splitting thick logs.
5. How to register your axe to get a 25-year warranty?
After purchase, simply go to the manufacturer's registration page, fill in the required data (m.in. tool model, date of purchase) and confirm registration. Once it's completed, you get an extended warranty of up to 25 years on your axe.
6. Can the axe be used at low temperatures?
Yes. Fiberglass-reinforced composite handle is resistant to temperature changes and will not crack like traditional wood. SAFETOUCH™ non-slip coating helps maintain a firm grip even when working with gloves in colder weather.
7. How to safely store your Oleo-Mac 2000 axe?
When you're done, put a cover on the multifunctional head, then store the tool in a dry place out of the reach of children. It is best to hang the axe on a hook or place it in a special garden tool rack.
