What is the cutting chain for Victus 91NP OO-ACCV91NP55 chainsaw?

Victus 91NP OO-ACCV91NP55 cutting chain is the working element of the saw responsible for the proper cutting of wood. It is made of interconnected guide and cutting links, which move along the guide groove at high speed, precisely cutting the material. Variant 3/8" hobby, 1.3 mm is a popular standard used in light and medium saws used in the garden, orchard, workshop and backyard work. Thanks to half chisel type teeth the chain offers very good cutting performance while being less sensitive to dirt (e.g. sand, bark, soil residue) than full chisel teeth.

Model OO-ACCV91NP55 is dedicated to saws working with a guide bar of the appropriate length and 1.3 mm groove width. Proper selection of the chain ensures stable operation, less wear on the bar and higher operator comfort, as the saw is less "jerky" and does not require excessive pressure when cutting.

Where does the 3/8" hobby 1.3 mm 55 link leading chain mount??

The OO-ACCV91NP55 cutting chain is mounted on the the guide bar of the saw, attaching it around the drive wheel at the motor and in the guide groove. It fits many models of saws compatible with the pitch 3/8" hobby i groove width of 1.3 mm. Before buying, just check the following information in the manual of your chainsaw or on your old guide bar:

  • chain pitch (3/8" HOBBY),
  • guide groove width (1.3 mm),
  • number of guide links (55 pieces).

The chain is used in saws used m.in. by:

  • single-family homeowners - for seasonal firewood cutting, pruning branches and shrubs,
  • farmers and fruit growers - for tree care in orchards and plantations,
  • gardening and service companies - for cleanup work, removal of windbreaks, ad hoc forestry work,
  • do-it-yourselfers - for preparing wooden elements in the workshop, cutting beams and boards.

Use of Victus 91NP OO-ACCV91NP55 cutting chain in daily operation

Thanks to its design, the Victus 91NP OO-ACCV91NP55 chain is primarily intended for gardening, household and light forestry work. The 3/8" hobby pitch and narrow 1.3mm groove make the chain lightweight, quick to accelerate and won't overload the saw engine, which is especially important on smaller equipment. This means:

  • easy and fast pruning of branches and boughs fruit trees, coniferous and deciduous,
  • efficient cutting firewood of various diameters - from thin slabs to thicker trunks,
  • safe removal of damaged, broken trees after storms and high winds,
  • careful preparation of wooden elements on a recreational plot or construction site (beams, poles, planks),
  • cleaning work around the house, in a private forest or on company premises.

Cutter links with anti-bump projection reduce the tendency of the saw to kickback (so-called kickback), which translates into much greater safety and comfort even for less experienced users.

Victus 91NP OO-ACCV91NP55 cutting chain - half chisel, low kickback tendency and high durability

Cutting teeth of the type half chisel (semi-chisel) is a thoughtful compromise between cutting speed and blunt resistance. Compared to full chisel-shaped teeth:

  • are less sensitive to dirt - The chain stays sharp longer even when it comes into contact with sand or bark,
  • make it easy to sharpen by yourself sharpening with a round file, because the radius of the tooth is larger,
  • provide smoother entry into the material, which improves working comfort and reduces operator fatigue.

In addition, the cutting links are equipped with anti-kickback projection, the purpose of which is to reduce the sudden jerking of the saw when the bar tip comes into contact with the wood. This solution increases the level of safety, especially in the hands of occasional users who do not deal with professional forestry equipment on a daily basis.

User benefits - why choose 3/8" hobby 1.3 mm Victus 91NP chain?

When you choose the OO-ACCV91NP55 cutting chain, you gain a number of practical benefits that you will appreciate every time you work with your chainsaw:

  • Higher cutting efficiency - appropriately selected pitch and number of links ensure fast work speed while maintaining a smooth cutting surface.
  • Lower wear and tear on the saw - The narrow 1.3mm chain provides less resistance, so the engine is not overloaded and fuel or electricity consumption can be reduced.
  • Comfort and safety - Anti-kickback projections reduce the risk of dangerous bounces, which is key especially when working in difficult positions or at height.
  • Cost-effectiveness - longer blade life and resistance to dulling translate into less frequent chain changes and less time spent sharpening.
  • Universal application - Ideal for both small garden cleanup jobs and regular firewood harvesting.

How to take care of Victus 91NP cutting chain to make it last as long as possible?

To get the most out of the OO-ACCV91NP55 chain, it is worth following a few simple operating rules:

  • Regular sharpening - check the sharpness of your teeth after every long run. Dull chain increases fuel consumption, puts strain on the engine and degrades the quality of the cut.
  • Proper lubrication - use chain oil of the correct viscosity, and check the operation of the oil pump before operation.
  • Maintaining proper tension - A chain that is too loose can fall off the bar, and one that is too tight wears faster and heats up.
  • Avoid contact with soil and stones - Contact with hard dirt is the most common cause of rapid dulling of the chain.
  • Storage in a dry place - after work, the chain is worth cleaning and lightly lubricating to prevent corrosion.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions about 1.3 mm 3/8" hobby 55 link cutting chain OO-ACCV91NP55

1. How to check if Victus 91NP OO-ACCV91NP55 chain will fit my chainsaw?

Check the manual or the old guide bar for three parameters: chain pitch (3/8" hobby), bar groove width (1.3 mm), and number of guide links (55). If all the values match, the chain will fit.

2. What jobs is this chain best suited for?

The OO-ACCV91NP55 is ideal for pruning branches and boughs, cutting firewood, garden and allotment cleanup, as well as light forestry and service work. It will work successfully for both private users and small gardening companies.

3. What is the difference between a half chisel tooth and a full chisel tooth?

The half chisel tooth has a rounded cutting corner, making it more resistant to dulling when working in harsher conditions (sand, dirt). A full chisel tooth cuts slightly faster, but dulls faster. For most users of garden and backyard chainsaws, the half-chisel solution is more versatile and practical.

4. How often should the chain be sharpened OO-ACCV91NP55?

The frequency of sharpening depends on the intensity of work and the type of wood being cut. For standard garden work, it is advisable to gently sharpen after each long day's work or when you notice a drop in performance - the saw starts to dust instead of producing chips, requires more pressure or "pulls" sideways.

5. Does the chain have anti-kickback protection?

Yes, the cutting links are equipped with anti-kickback projection, which reduces the phenomenon of guide tip rebound. This increases the level of work safety, especially for less experienced users.

6. Is this chain suitable for hardwood?

Victus 91NP OO-ACCV91NP55 chain will cope with both soft wood (spruce, pine) and harder species (oak, beech). However, when cutting very hard and dry wood frequently, it is advisable to check sharpness more often and use quality sharpening files.

7. What accessories are worth buying together with the chain OO-ACCV91NP55?

To get the most out of your chain, it's a good idea to buy chain lubricating oil, appropriate round file with a sharpening guide, as well as a case for the guide. This will extend the life of both the chain and the entire chainsaw.
