What is 1.3 mm 3/8" Hobby saw cutting chain 52 guide links OO-ACCV91NP52?

Cutting chain OO-ACCV91NP52 is the working element of a chainsaw responsible for the proper cutting of wood. It consists of 52 guide links that work together with a 1.3mm wide guide groove and a 3/8" pitch hobby drive sprocket. Semi-chisel type cutting teeth provide fast yet smooth cutting of soft and medium-hard wood, minimizing operator effort.

Thanks to its compact design and optimized technical parameters, the chain is ideal for amateur and semi-professional electric and petrol chainsaws for home use. Properly hardened cells guarantee high wear resistance and long life even under heavy use.

Installation of Victus 91NP OO-ACCV91NP52 cutting chain - where and how to install it?

Cutting chain OO-ACCV91NP52 mounts directly on the chain saw bar, embracing the drive sprocket located on the saw shaft. Due to its technical parameters - 3/8" hobby pitch and 1.3 mm groove width - it must work with a properly selected guide and drive pinion of the same dimensions. Before buying, it's a good idea to check the device's manual or the markings on the old bar to make sure the chain will be compatible.

Installation of the chain is simple and can be done independently:

  • Turn off the saw and unplug it (for electric saws) or remove the ignition cable (for petrol saws).
  • Unscrew the saw's side cover, releasing the bar tensioner.
  • Put the chain on the drive sprocket and bar, making sure that the cutting teeth point in the correct direction (forward on the top of the bar).
  • Tension the chain with the tensioner so that it adheres to the bar, but can still be pulled slightly away from the groove by hand.
  • Thoroughly tighten the guard and recheck the chain tension after the first few cuts.

The chain is designed for installation in hobby and semi-professional saws of various brands, as long as their manufacturer provides for the use of accessories with a 3/8" hobby pitch and a groove width of 1.3 mm. It can be used m.in. in popular garden saws used in the household, workshop or allotment.

Application of cutting chain 1,3 mm 3/8" Hobby 52 links - ideal for garden and household work

Victus 91NP cutting chain with 3/8" hobby pitch and 1.3 mm width is designed for extensive use in everyday work around the house and garden. It is perfect for:

  • cutting firewood into blocks and slabs,
  • preparing construction and structural timber for simple structures (sheds, gazebos, fences),
  • pruning and felling of smaller trees on the property,
  • care of orchards, removal of dry and damaged branches,
  • cleaning up the area after windstorms and strong winds,
  • pruning thick branches and boughs on a recreational plot.

Thanks to its half chisel type teeth, the chain also copes well with slightly dirty wood, such as a stump lying on the ground or branches with bark remnants. Doesn't dull as quickly as chains with a less favorable tooth profile, allowing you to work longer between sharpenings.

Victus 91NP OO-ACCV91NP52 cutting chain - work safety thanks to anti-reflection links

One of the key distinguishing features of the OO-ACCV91NP52 chain are the cutting links with an anti-knockback protrusion. They reduce the tendency of the saw to so-called kickback (kickback), i.e. the rapid upward jump of the guide bar when its tip encounters an obstacle or is blocked in the material. Reducing the risk of kickbacks translates into a higher level of safety, which is of great importance, especially for hobby users.

Thanks to the anti-kickback protrusions and the appropriate geometry of the half-chisel tooth, working with the saw is more stable and the user has better control over the tool. This is important when making longer cuts, such as when limbing logs or cutting long wooden beams, when fatigue can affect precision of movement.

User safety is also supported by lower vibration levels and smoother chain running on the bar. Less vibration reduces rapid hand and wrist fatigue, which is especially important when working for hours in the woods, garden or preparing more firewood for the winter.

Performance and durability of 3/8" Hobby 1.3 mm chain - why you should choose the OO-ACCV91NP52 model?

Victus 91NP cutting chain is made of high-grade steel, which is subjected to hardening processes that increase abrasion resistance. This means longer life for the cutting teeth and guide links, as well as better maintenance of sharpness compared to cheaper, low-quality chains. For the user, this means less frequent sharpening, greater comfort and time savings.

The half-chisel tooth profile provides very good cutting speed in soft and medium-hard wood, and is less sensitive to small dirt, such as sand or mud on the bark. In practice, the chain maintains optimal performance longer, which is especially important in off-road conditions, when contact with dirt cannot always be avoided.

The chain works well with popular guides with lengths matched to 52 guide links, ensuring even load distribution and stable groove running. In everyday use, this translates into precise cutting without "pulling" the saw sideways, which is important when precisely cutting structural components or preparing material for garden furniture.

Comfort and easy chain maintenance for Victus 91NP chainsaws

OO-ACCV91NP52 chain is designed for maximum user comfort. Thanks to optimized tooth geometry and a narrow groove width of 1.3 mm, there is less cutting resistance, allowing even lower-powered saws to work efficiently. In practice, the user feels less fatigue and the saw is not overstressed.

Maintenance of the chain is simple and requires no specialized tools other than a suitable sharpener or file of the correct size. By sharpening the teeth regularly, lubricating the chain with bar oil and maintaining proper tension, you can significantly extend the life of the chain. The chain works perfectly with standard lubrication systems used in most chainsaws on the market.

Thanks to its easy operation and simple maintenance, the product will work well in the hands of both experienced users and those who are just starting out with a chainsaw, such as when building a gazebo, tidying up the allotment or preparing fuel for the heating season.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions about 1.3 mm 3/8" Hobby 52 link cutting chain OO-ACCV91NP52

1. For which chainsaws this chain fits?

The chain fits chainsaws whose manufacturer has stipulated the use of accessories with a 3/8" hobby pitch, a guide groove width of 1.3 mm and a number of 52 guide links. Before you buy, it's a good idea to compare these parameters with the data on the bar or in the saw's manual.

2. How often should you sharpen your chain?

Sharpening frequency depends on the intensity of work and the type of material being cut. For typical domestic use (cutting firewood, branches, small logs), it is recommended to check the sharpness after each prolonged work session. When you notice a decrease in cutting performance, it is necessary to sharpen the teeth with a file or on a sharpener.

3. Does the chain have safety features to increase operating safety?

Yes. Cutting links are equipped with anti-kickback protrusions, which reduce the risk of sudden guide bouncing (kickback). This makes working with the saw more stable and safer, which is especially important for hobby users.

4. Is the chain suitable for cutting hard wood?

Chain works best in soft and medium hard woods. It can also be used in harder grades, but in this case the teeth will wear faster and more frequent sharpening will be necessary. With very hard wood, it is recommended to keep an eye on sharpness and proper lubrication.

5. How to properly tension the chain OO-ACCV91NP52?

A properly tensioned chain should fit tightly against the bar, but allow itself to be pulled slightly away from the groove for a few millimeters with a finger. If it sags or slides completely out of the groove - it is too loose. If, on the other hand, it cannot be pulled back by hand - it is too tight, which accelerates its wear and strain on the saw.

6. Can I install this chain myself?

Yes, the installation of the chain is relatively simple and can be done by yourself, provided you follow basic safety rules. Just follow the saw's instruction manual - turn off the machine, remove the side guard, put the chain on the sprocket and bar, tighten it, then tighten the guard and check the tension after the first few cuts.

7. How to take care of a chain to make it last as long as possible?

To maximize the life of the chain, make sure it is constantly lubricated with bar oil, avoid cutting sand- or stone-soiled wood, check tension regularly, and sharpen the teeth periodically. After finishing work, it is a good idea to clean the chain of sawdust and store it in a dry place, which will protect it from corrosion.
