What is the cutting chain for the 1.1 mm 3/8" hobby saw Victus 90SG OO-ACCV90SG52?
Victus 90SG OO-ACCV90SG52 cutting chain is the working element of a petrol or electric chainsaw responsible for cutting the wood itself. Consists of precision-profiled half-chisel type cutting links, guide links, and connecting links with anti-kickback protrusion. It is made of durable, hardened steel, so it retains its sharpness for a long time, while resisting stretching and mechanical damage from intensive use.
The 3/8" hobby pitch and 1.1 mm groove width make it an ideal choice for light to medium duty work around the house, in the garden, orchard or on the allotment. The length of 52 guide links allows the chain to be used on many popular chainsaw models with a shorter bar, which translates into handiness and convenient operation.

Where the OO-ACCV90SG52 chain is installed and which chainsaws it works with?
The OO-ACCV90SG52 cutting chain mounts on the bar of a petrol or electric saw. Fits 1.1mm groove guides and 3/8" pitch hobby grade cutting systems. With its 52 guide links, the chain is most often used on saws with shorter guides used for backyard, amateur, light forestry and orchard work.
Installation consists of placing the chain on the drive sprocket and guide bar, and then tensioning it according to the instruction manual for the particular saw. The chain can be used m.in. w:
- hobby-class petrol chainsaws with power from approx. 1.2 to 2.5 hp,
- electric and cordless saws with a guide bar compatible with 3/8" hobby chain 1.1 mm,
- chainsaws used in households, gardens, small green care service companies.
Examples of daily applications:
- pruning branches and branches of trees in the garden,
- cutting firewood and firewood from logs of medium thickness,
- cleanup work after windstorms and storms - removal of fallen branches,
- cutting planks and simple softwood structural components.

Application of cutting chain 3/8" hobby 1,1 mm 52 links - ideal for garden, orchard and household work
The Victus 90SG chain has been optimized for users who perform regular maintenance and cleaning work, but do not need heavy, fully professional forestry equipment. The 3/8" hobby pitch, combined with a thin 1.1 mm groove, ensures that less power is required from the saw, which has a positive effect on working comfort and fuel or electricity consumption.
You will apply it m.in. to:
- Firewood cuts - Preparation of logs for the fireplace and stove, cutting logs to the appropriate length.
- Care of trees and shrubs - Pruning of thick branches, crown clearance, removal of old, dry shoots.
- Construction and repair works - trimming wooden elements, beams, roof battens or fence posts.
- Site cleanup - Removal of toppled trees, branches and stumps after high winds or felling.
Thanks to its semi-cutting teeth, the chain copes well with both soft wood (spruce, pine) and harder hardwoods (birch, oak, beech) with proper sharpness and correct guidance of the saw.

Victus 90SG cutting chain OO-ACCV90SG52 - half chisel teeth and anti-kickback links for safety and comfort
One of the most important features of the OO-ACCV90SG52 chain is the semi-shear type cutting teeth. Compared to a full chisel, they are:
- more resistant to dulling when dirty (sand, bark, fine dirt),
- easier to sharpen - the semicircular profile forgives minor errors when sharpening with a file,
- smoother in cutting - the saw "jerks" less, which translates into greater operator comfort.
In addition, connecting links with an anti-kickback protrusion effectively reduce the risk of dangerous kickback when the bar tip comes into contact with the wood. This is especially important when working in dense treetops, tight spaces or in the hands of a less experienced user.
In practice, this means:
- more stable guidance of the saw while cutting,
- less arm and shoulder fatigue with prolonged work,
- a greater sense of control over the tool even in more difficult terrain conditions.
High durability and reliability of Victus 90SG 1.1 mm 3/8" hobby chain
The chain was made of high-quality alloy steel and subjected to a hardening process, making it:
- it resists stretching during intensive work,
- retains sharpness for longer, reducing the frequency of sharpening,
- better withstands overheating in more difficult cutting conditions.
Thin groove width of 1.1 mm reduces cutting resistance - saw cuts faster with less engine load. This, in turn, translates into:
- lower fuel or electricity consumption,
- less noise and vibration,
- extend the life of the entire saw.
The Victus 90SG chain will work well for both individual users and small landscaping service companies, where dozens of cuts of branches and firewood are made every day.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions about 1.1 mm 3/8" hobby 52 link cutting chain OO-ACCV90SG52
1. How to check if the OO-ACCV90SG52 chain will fit my chainsaw?
Compare three basic parameters: chain pitch (3/8" hobby), bar groove width (1.1 mm) and number of guide links (52). If all these values are in accordance with the data in the saw manual or on the old guide/chain, the OO-ACCV90SG52 model will be suitable.
2. What jobs is this chain best suited for?
The chain is ideal for backyard work: cutting firewood, pruning and removing branches, crown care, cleaning up after windstorms, as well as simple construction and repair tasks using wood.
3. How often should you sharpen your chain?
The frequency of sharpening depends on the intensity of work and the type of wood being cut. For typical home use, it is a good idea to sharpen the chain slightly after every one to two days of use. When you notice that the saw cuts slower, requires more pressure, or the chips turn into fine dust, it's a sign that it's time for sharpening.
4. How to take care of a chain to make it last as long as possible?
Regularly check chain tension, use the right oil for lubrication, avoid contact with the ground, rocks and metal parts, and store the chainsaw in a dry place. Periodically clean the chain of resin and dirt, and replace it with a new one if mechanically damaged.
5. Is a chain with half chisel teeth suitable for beginners?
Yes. The chain with half chisel teeth is even recommended for less experienced users. It is more resistant to minor sharpening errors, runs smoother and, combined with anti-kickback links, provides a higher level of safety than aggressive full chisel chains.
6. Can I use this chain in cordless saws?
Yes, as long as the cordless saw has a 3/8" pitch hobby bar, a 1.1mm groove and requires a chain with 52 guide links. Due to its low cutting resistance, this chain works very well with cordless saws, extending the operating time on a single charge.
7. When to replace the chain with a new one?
The chain is worth replacing when, after repeated sharpening, the teeth are already very short, cracks appear in the links or rivets, the chain stretches beyond the acceptable range of adjustment, or, despite sharpening, no longer provides smooth, fast cutting. For safety, do not use a chain with visible damage.
