What is the 68500001A PIASKING LANCE and how it works?

SANDING LANCE 68500001A is a specialized pressure nozzle with a hose that sucks in abrasive (such as sand), designed for use with Oleo-Mac high-pressure washers. It uses the principle of an injector - a high-pressure jet of water sucks abrasive from a container through a sand hose and ejects a mixture of water and sand onto the surface to be cleaned. This allows the user to remove difficult dirt and coatings without investing in a separate sandblasting unit.

This solution is particularly beneficial for home users, small workshops and service companies that want to achieve the effect of professional sandblasting with their own pressure washer. The use of water along with the abrasive reduces dust compared to traditional sandblasting, which improves comfort and safety at work.

Where the sandblasting lance 68500001A is mounted?

Installation of the sandblasting lance 68500001A is quick and intuitive. The attachment was designed specifically to work with selected Oleo-Mac washer models, making the connection stable and tight.

  • Connection to the washer gun - metal lance body connects directly to the pressure washer gun, replacing the standard washing lance. The connection is made by means of a suitable connector matched to the PW121C, PW135C, PW145, PW170C, PW175C, PW190C, PWX200C models.
  • Connection of abrasive suction hose - to the body of the lance is connected through a brass connector flexible hose, the other end of which is placed in a container with sand or other abrasive. This ensures that the abrasive is automatically sucked up while the washer is running.
  • Working distance adjustment - the lance tip allows you to work at different distances from the surface to be treated. Depending on the type of substrate (metal, concrete, stone, wood) and the degree of dirt, the user can choose the optimal distance to achieve cleaning efficiently but without damage.

Such a solution makes the installation of the attachment within the reach of any user: just disconnect the standard lance, connect the sandblasting lance, place the hose in the abrasive tank, start the washer and start working.

Applications for sandblasting lance 68500001A - where it will work best?

With a combination of high pressure and abrasive, the 68500001A sandblasting lance allows you to thoroughly clean almost any hard surface. It is an ideal tool for do-it-yourselfers, homeowners, farmers, locksmiths, auto repair shops and construction companies.

  • Removal of rust from metal parts - cleaning of steel rims, trailer frames, railings, fences, gates, steel structures, machine parts or tools. The lance easily reaches hard-to-reach places such as corners, welds and embossments.
  • Stripping of old paint and varnish coatings - excellent for removing peeling paint from metal fences, gates, balcony railings, garage doors, body parts or steel structures prior to restoration.
  • Removal of scale and stubborn dirt - Works great with lime deposits, scale and tarnish on concrete, paving stones, natural stone, patio slabs, exterior stairs or foundations.
  • Surface preparation for painting and maintenance - ideal tool for comprehensive substrate preparation prior to application of paints, varnishes, anti-corrosion primers, epoxy and polyurethane coatings.
  • Cleaning of machine and vehicle components - Sandblasting of frames of off-road vehicles, quads, motorcycles, agricultural machinery (plows, harrows, seeders, trailers) or construction machinery.

The most important benefits for the user - why choose the sandblasting lance 68500001A?

When you choose the 68500001A sandblasting lance for your Oleo-Mac washer, you gain a number of tangible benefits that translate into time and money savings, as well as a higher quality of work performed.

  • Savings - no need to purchase a separate sandblaster
With this attachment, you make use of the Oleo-Mac high-pressure cleaner you already own. This solution is much cheaper than buying a separate sandblasting unit, while providing a similar working effect.
  • Versatility of applications
One lance allows to remove rust, old paint coatings, varnishes, hard scale, graffiti, atmospheric raids or greasy dirt combined with dust. Suitable for metal, concrete, paving stones, stone, brick, and with the right choice of abrasive also for harder woods.
  • High cleaning efficiency
The combination of the energy of the water jet and the sharp abrasive grain makes it possible to remove dirt very thoroughly, which a regular pressure lance will not remove - for example, deeply pitted corrosion foci or several layers of old paint.
  • Better working comfort than in traditional dry sandblasting
The use of water in the sandblasting process significantly reduces the amount of floating dust, resulting in greater clarity at the work site and less dust settling on the surrounding area. It is still necessary to use personal protective equipment (goggles, mask, gloves), but the comfort and safety of work is noticeably higher.
  • Mobility and speed of preparation for work
The kit is lightweight, easy to carry and requires no complicated assembly. Within minutes of connecting the lance, you can start sandblasting in your driveway, garage, workshop or construction site.

How to safely and effectively use the sandblasting lance 68500001A?

To take full advantage of the potential of the sandblasting lance and at the same time ensure safety, it is worth following a few basic working rules:

  • Abrasive selection - use only abrasive designed for sandblasting, with the granulation recommended for the type of surface. For more delicate work, choose a finer grit, for intensive rust or concrete removal - a coarser grit.
  • Test on a small piece - before working on the entire surface, check the lance's operation on a small, not very visible part to choose the right distance and pressure and make sure that the substrate will not be damaged.
  • Personal protective equipment - use safety goggles or visor, work gloves, work clothes, and, depending on conditions, a mask or half-mask filter respirator.
  • Maintaining the right distance - do not bring the nozzle too close to the surface, especially with parts of lesser thickness or made of softer materials. Too short a distance can cause scratches or too deep a removal of material.
  • Regular cleaning of the set - after work, rinse the hose and lance with clean water to remove residual sand and minimize the risk of nozzle clogging or accelerated wear of working components.

FAQ - frequently asked questions about the sandblasting lance 68500001A

1. Will the sandblasting lance 68500001A fit any pressure washer?

Not. This lance model was designed specifically to work with Oleo-Mac washers: PW121C, PW135C, PW145, PW170C, PW175, PW190C, PWX200C. For other devices, appropriate adapters are required, and compatibility should be verified in each case.

2. What kind of sand or abrasive can I use?

The most common is sand for sandblasting with appropriately selected granulation. The choice of abrasive depends on the type of surface and the intensity of cleaning - for more delicate work choose a finer grain, for removing heavy rust or concrete - a coarser grain. Avoid wet and contaminated materials that can clog the nozzle.

3. Will sandblasting with this lance damage delicate surfaces?

With the correct selection of pressure, distance from the substrate and the right abrasive granulation, the risk of damage can be minimized. However, it is recommended to perform a test in advance on an invisible part, especially for more delicate materials.

4. Do I need a special high-powered washer?

Lance 68500001A has been adapted to selected models of Oleo-Mac washers, which have sufficient parameters for effective sandblasting. The higher the operating pressure and water output of the washer, the faster and more effective the cleaning process, but the exact values should be checked in the technical documentation of the particular washer.

5. How to take care of a sandblasting lance to make it last as long as possible?

After each operation, rinse the lance and hose with clean water, remove any residual abrasive from the working elements, and store the set in a dry, clean place. Regular cleaning and avoiding working with contaminated or wet abrasive significantly prolongs the life of the lance and reduces the risk of clogged nozzles.

6. Does wet sandblasting produce a lot of dust?

Compared to traditional dry sandblasting, the use of water significantly reduces the amount of airborne dust. However, it is still necessary to use basic protective measures, as fine abrasive particles and material splatter may be present in the work zone.
