Oleo-Mac/Nibbi MH450/KAM13S GX340 drive unit - powerful HONDA engine and independent PTO
The heart of the drive unit is hONDA GX 340 engine with a capacity of 389 cm³, belonging to a family of professional drive units used in municipal and construction equipment around the world. It is characterized by:
- high power and torque - allowing them to efficiently drive heavy implements, even in difficult soil conditions or when working on inclines,
- low failure rate and long life - Honda's GX design is renowned for its exceptional durability and resistance to heavy use,
- easy mechanical starting - manual engine start is reliable and fast, even at lower temperatures.
The unit has independent power take-off (PTO) shaft, which:
- makes it possible to connect different types of attachments in a few minutes,
- ensures a constant and adequate rpm of the attachment - 973 rpm./min,
- works independently of the movement of the machine, so you can, for example, start a rotovator or snowplow without having to shift gears.
In practice, this means that you can comfortably work with heavy attachments such as a wide tiller or rotary plow, while retaining full control over travel speed and implement operation. This increases the efficiency, precision and safety of the work performed.
Advanced transmission, locking differential and full traction control
Oleo-Mac/Nibbi MH450/KAM13S GX340 drive unit is equipped with a professional oil-lubricated pinion gear and a multi-speed transmission that offers:
- 3 forward gears,
- 3 reverse gears.
Such a range of gear ratios makes it possible to precisely match the working speed to the nature of the work - from very slow driving during deep soil tillage to faster travel with a transport trailer. Operating speeds range from 1.05 km/h to 4.41 km/h, which allows you to comfortably adjust the pace to your needs.
Model MH450/KAM13S was additionally equipped with a differential (differential) with locking mechanism. This function is responsible for:
- even torque transfer to both drive wheels, which improves the machine's traction and stability,
- possibility lock the differential in difficult conditions - when one of the wheels loses traction or hovers over the ground, the locking mechanism makes the axle behave like a rigid one, making it easier to drive out of a slippery terrain or overcome an obstacle,
- confident operation on inclines, in mud, snow or ruts - a key feature for safety and operator comfort.
Multi-disc clutch used in the unit ensures smooth starts, gear changes and precise drive control. The entire gearbox operates in an oil bath, which minimizes wear and tear on components and guarantees a long machine life even with daily use over many hours.
