OIL FILTER GS370-410C, GS410CX, GS44 50170149R - reliable protection for the lubrication system of Oleo-Mac chainsaws

Oil filter for chainsaw models: Oleo-Mac GS 370 / Oleo-Mac GS 371 / Oleo-Mac GS 410 CX / Oleo-Mac GS 411 / Oleo-Mac GS 440 / Oleo-Mac GS 451

OIL FILTER GS370-410C, GS410CX, GS44 50170149R is a high quality consumable component designed for chain saws of the brand Oleo-Mac. It is responsible for effectively filtering the oil fed to lubricate the chain and bar, ensuring smooth and trouble-free operation of the tool during intensive use in the forest, garden or construction site.

The filter is mounted inside the oil tank of the saw - it sucks oil from the bottom of the tank, while trapping dirt, filings and small deposits that could enter the lubrication system and damage the oil pump or accelerate the wear of the cutting chain.

  • Original manufacturer's mark / external system code: 50170149R
  • Purpose: Oleo-Mac chainsaws of the series GS 370, GS 371, GS 410 CX, GS 411, GS 440, GS 451
  • Part type: chain oil filter (lubrication system filter)

Oleo-Mac GS 370 / GS 371 / GS 410 CX OIL FILTER - what is this part and why is it so important?

FILTR OLEJU GS370-410C, GS410CX, GS44 50170149R do pilarek Oleo-Mac

Oil filter GS370-410C, GS410CX, GS44 50170149R is a precision-made component whose main function is to clean the chain lubrication oil in the chain saw. It works directly with the oil pump, so that only clean, filtered oil enters the lubrication system.

The construction of the filter combines durable plastic body z metal, finely perforated strainer, which retains even very fine contaminants. The materials used are resistant to chain oils, low and high temperatures, and vibrations that occur during saw operation.

The importance of the oil filter is crucial to the life of the entire chainsaw:

  • prevents clogging of oil channels and the pump,
  • protects the chain from running "dry",
  • reduces the risk of overheating of the guide,
  • indirectly affects the safety of the operator - a well-lubricated chain works more stably and quietly.

Examples of daily use:

  • regular cutting of firewood in the home forest,
  • cleaning up the orchard after strong winds - cutting broken branches,
  • cutting logs and scantlings for roofing and construction work,
  • intensive use of chainsaws in farms and forest service companies.

Where the GS370-410C, GS410CX, GS44 50170149R oil filter is installed in Oleo-Mac chainsaw?

Montaż filtra oleju w pilarce Oleo-Mac GS

Oil filter GS370-410C, GS410CX, GS44 50170149R is mounted directly in the chain lubrication oil tank. It is connected at the end of the oil line, which sucks in oil and passes it to the oil pump.

Typical location of a filter in a chainsaw:

  • inside the saw housing, under the oil filler cap,
  • at the end of the flexible hose located in the tank,
  • in a position to draw oil from the bottom of the tank, even when the tank is partially empty.

What does the exchange look like in practice (example scheme of operation):

  1. Unscrewing the oil tank cap and draining the residual oil (optional).
  2. Pulling out the flexible oil line along with the old filter.
  3. Disconnecting the used filter and slipping on a new OIL FILTER GS370-410C, GS410CX, GS44 50170149R.
  4. Put the line with the new filter back into the tank and pour fresh chain oil.

Daily benefits of proper installation:

  • the user avoids interruptions due to lubrication system failure,
  • the saw maintains stable oil feeding even when cutting thick logs for long periods of time,
  • easier start-ups and even operation - the chain does not overheat and lose focus as quickly.

Application of oil filter GS370-410C, GS410CX, GS44 50170149R in Oleo-Mac chainsaws

Operation and maintenance - how to take care of the oil filter in your Oleo-Mac chainsaw?

Konserwacja filtra oleju w pilarce łańcuchowej

Proper use of the oil filter significantly extends the life of the chainsaw. Regular checks and periodic filter changes are the basis for trouble-free operation of the tool in all conditions.

Basic rules of use:

  • Use the right chain oil recommended by the saw manufacturer.
  • Periodically check the condition of the filter - especially if you notice weaker chain lubrication or the disappearance of the oil trail on the bar.
  • If significantly dirty or damaged - replace the filter with a new one OIL FILTER GS370-410C, GS410CX, GS44 50170149R.

Examples of situations when it is worth inspecting the filter:

  • after working in a very dusty environment (cutting old, decayed wood, construction with sand and earth),
  • after a long period of not using the chainsaw - the old oil can thicken and contaminate the filter,
  • when the chain remains dry or poorly lubricated despite a full oil tank.

Changing the filter regularly is a low cost compared to potential repairs to the oil pump, guide bar or the need to change the chain more often. This is one of the simplest maintenance tasks that realistically extends the life of the entire chainsaw.

Answer: The use of non-original replacements may be associated with inferior filtration quality, improper fit and risk of damage to the lubrication system. Selection of the original filter 50170149R ensures compatibility with Oleo-Mac saws and full performance.

Question 6: Does the oil filter affect chain and bar wear?
Answer: Yes. A functioning filter ensures clean oil and proper lubrication, which reduces friction and overheating. As a result the chain and bar wear out more slowly, and the tool works more efficiently and safely.
