Fuel cap GS 350 / GS 520 50072009R - purpose, installation and compatibility

What is fuel cap GS 350 / GS 520 50072009R?
It is original fuel tank cap used in Oleo-Mac petrol chainsaws, mainly in models GS 350 and GS 520. The product is designed to ensure maximum tightness of the power supply system and to meet the requirements of users expecting durability and safety when working with a combustion appliance.

Where the fuel cap 50072009R is installed?
The cap is designed to be installed directly into the the fuel filler opening of the chainsaw tank. Thanks to the precise thread and the appropriate profile, its installation and removal is fast and convenient - you just need to manually screw the plug in place of the factory element. No additional tools are needed.

Example applications:

  • daily use of Oleo-Mac GS 350 / GS 520 chainsaws in the garden and on the allotment,
  • professional forestry and service work, where 100% tightness of the fuel system is required,
  • replacing a worn, damaged or leaking fuel cap that is causing leaks or problems starting the chainsaw,
  • maintenance and service of petrol chainsaws in service workshops and garden equipment repair shops.

User benefits:

  • assurance that fuel does not leak from the tank even during intensive operation or transportation of the chainsaw,
  • protecting the engine from dirt and filings getting into the fuel,

Construction, materials and durability of fuel cap Oleo-Mac GS 350 / GS 520 50072009R

High-quality fuel-resistant plastic
The stopper is made of durable plastic resistant to gasoline, oil and standard fuel-oil mixtures used in two-stroke engines. As a result, it will not crack, deform or lose its tightness even after many tank filling cycles.

Precise threading and fitting to the tank
The use of accurately made thread guarantees secure seating of the plug in the socket. The user feels a distinct resistance when tightening, making it easy to feel the moment of full closure. As a result, the risk of accidentally unscrewing the plug during operation or transportation of the saw is minimized.

Ergonomic handle for easy unscrewing
There is a comfortable profile/ribbing on the head of the cork that allows a firm grip even with work gloves, in the rain or with dirty hands. Unscrewing and screwing the cap does not require a lot of force, which is especially important for those who frequently refuel the saw during all-day work.

Daily use examples:

  • regular refueling of the chainsaw when cutting firewood - the plug repeatedly unscrewed and screwed on retains its functionality,
  • working in harsh weather conditions - rain, snow, mud - the plug still provides tightness and easy operation,
  • storing the chainsaw in a van or trunk - a good closure of the cap eliminates the risk of unpleasant gasoline smell and fuel stains.

Safety, tightness and engine protection - key advantages of the GS 350 / GS 520 50072009R fuel cap

Protection against fuel leaks
An airtight plug means safety for both the user and the environment. Model 50072009R effectively prevents fuel leaks that can cause slippage, fire risk, odor and unnecessary fuel waste. This is especially important when cutting wood on steep slopes, scaffolding or near other machinery.

Filtration and restriction of contaminant access
Well-fitted plug reduces access of dust, sand, sawdust and water to the inside of the tank. Clean fuel means less risk of clogging the carburetor, filters and nozzles, and therefore - longer engine life and less frequent service downtime.

Stable engine operation and easier starting
A leak-proof fuel tank, closed with a proper cap, helps maintain proper fuel system operating conditions. This makes it easier to start the saw, improves combustion uniformity and reduces the risk of the engine going out when least expected, such as when cutting thick logs with precision.

Situations in which you will appreciate a proper fuel cap:

  • cutting thick oak or beech logs - the engine runs evenly, and the user does not worry about power drops due to system airing,
  • working in the woods away from home - no leaks or start-up problems means saving time and nerves,
  • winter preparation of firewood - tight plug reduces condensation and moisture access to the fuel.
