936/940 chainsaw air filter 50050036AR - reliable engine protection for your Oleo-Mac chainsaw

Oleo-Mac 936/940 chainsaw air filter - what is this part and why is it so important?

The 936/940 50050036AR chainsaw air filter is a precision-fitted component of the air intake system of Oleo-Mac 936 and 940 series petrol chainsaws. Its primary task is to effectively clean the air sucked into the combustion chamber of dust, sawdust and fine debris that is generated when cutting wood. This ensures that the engine receives adequately clean air, which translates into efficiency, even operation and longer life.

Using the right air filter is key to maintaining chainsaw power, easy starting and low fuel consumption. A dirty or worn filter restricts airflow, causing a drop in performance, difficulty firing, and faster wear on engine components. Replacing the filter with a new, dedicated 50050036AR model is a simple investment for trouble-free, safe and economical operation of the tool.

Where the air filter of the Oleo-Mac 936/940 50050036AR chainsaw is installed?

The 50050036AR air filter is mounted in the top of the petrol saw, in a special compartment under the service cover. This location provides quick access for the user, makes it easy to periodically check the condition of the filter and replace it without the use of complicated tools. Simply remove the top cover of the Oleo-Mac 936 or 940 chainsaw, slide the old filter off the mount, clean the chamber of fine debris, and install the new piece.

This location of the filter ensures that the flowing air is filtered just before it reaches the carburetor and combustion chamber. This keeps contaminants at a safe distance from the most sensitive parts of the engine. The simple installation also means that it doesn't take much time to change the filter on a regular basis - it can even be done in the field, during intensive forestry or household work.

In the daily operation of the chainsaw, the user can easily ensure that the filter is always in good condition - a quick removal, blowing out with compressed air or replacement with a new model 50050036AR are steps that significantly increase the reliability of the device and minimize the risk of costly repairs.

Use of air filter 936/940 50050036AR in petrol chainsaws

Air filter 50050036AR is designed for use in Oleo-Mac model 936 and 940 petrol chainsaws. It is perfect for both everyday household chores and more demanding tasks in the forest or orchard. Thanks to its design, it effectively protects the engine during:

  • cutting firewood and firewood on the plot or farm,
  • maintenance work in orchards and gardens, such as pruning and tree trimming,
  • forestry work - felling, limbing and thinning, where there is a large amount of dust and sawdust in the air,
  • construction of wooden structures, shelters, gazebos or fences, where the saw works intensively for a long time.

A properly selected and efficient air filter allows you to use the full power of your chainsaw while reducing the risk of engine overheating and excessive wear and tear. This is especially important for users who often work in harsh conditions - for example, in dusty, dry coniferous wood or in areas where there is a lot of dirt in the air.

Regular replacement of the air filter 936/940 50050036AR is also important from the point of view of the economy of operation - a clean filter means better combustion of the mixture, stable revolutions and lower fuel consumption, which, with longer use of the chainsaw, allows you to realistically reduce the cost of using the equipment.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions about the 936/940 50050036AR chainsaw air filter

For which models of saws fits air filter 50050036AR?

Air filter 50050036AR is designed for Oleo-Mac 936 and Oleo-Mac 940 petrol chainsaws. Its use on other models is not recommended due to differences in the design of the housing and intake system.

How often should you replace the air filter in the Oleo-Mac 936/940 saw?

Frequency of replacement depends on the intensity of use and operating conditions. For occasional household chores, it is a good idea to check the condition of the filter every few hours of operation and replace it when it is heavily soiled or damaged. With intensive forestry work or in a very dusty environment, the check should be performed more often - even daily.

Can the 50050036AR filter be cleaned and reused?

The filter can be cleaned periodically, such as by blowing it with compressed air from a sufficient distance or by gently removing loose debris. However, it should be remembered that this is a temporary solution. When the filter material is clogged, damaged or excessively worn, it is essential to replace the filter with a new one to ensure effective engine protection.

How to recognize that the air filter needs replacing?

Symptoms of a worn or dirty filter are: a marked decrease in the power of the chainsaw, difficulty firing, unstable revs and visible, deep dirt on the surface of the filter. If the component still looks clogged or damaged after initial cleaning, replace it with a new model 50050036AR.

Does the installation of the 936/940 50050036AR air filter require a service visit?

No, the installation of the filter is simple and can be done by yourself. Simply remove the top cover of the chainsaw, remove the old filter, clean the chamber of debris and install the new piece in the same place. The whole operation takes just a few minutes.

What are the benefits of using an original fit filter instead of a random replacement?

The original fit filter 50050036AR guarantees a proper fit to the housing, a secure fit and effective air filtration. Random replacements with inadequate dimensions can leave gaps through which unfiltered air enters the engine, risking faster wear and costly repairs.
