Scissor shears and short detachable handles for the Fiskars OneClick system is a modern, modular gardening kit designed for fast and precise pruning of branches, shrubs and young shoots. The cutting head with hardened steel blades and OneClick ergonomic system handles create a versatile tool for demanding users who want reliability, convenience and the ability to quickly change tool configurations.
Fiskars OneClick scissor pruner - what it is and how it works?
The OneClick scissor shear is a bypass (scissor) cutting head, designed to be combined with the interchangeable handles of the Fiskars OneClick system. Hardened steel blades with friction-reducing coating for clean, precise cutting and long tool life. Short, detachable handles allow you to work like a classic two-handed pruner - ideal for cutting tree and shrub branches at chest height or slightly above.
OneClick system allows instant connection and disconnection of the cutting head from the handles. In practice, this means that in a few seconds you can:
- mount the secateurs head on short handles and work close to the plants,
- detach the short handles and transfer the head to the longer OneClick telescopic handle (if you have one) to reach higher without a ladder,
- conveniently disassemble the tool for transport or storage.
Where the Fiskars OneClick scissor shears and short detachable handles mount?
The scissor secateurs and short detachable handles are specially designed to work with the Fiskars OneClick system. The cutting head is mounted on:
- Short handles included - make compact, lightweight two-handed pruning shears ideal for hands-on work.
- Compatible Fiskars OneClick handles - This allows you to gain additional reach, which is especially useful when pruning taller trees, hedges or branches over flowerbeds.
Installation is intuitive - just slide the head into the holder slot until the characteristic "click", which confirms a solid connection. Disassembly is done by pressing the release button in the handles and sliding the head out. Such a solution:
- saves time - you don't need any tools,
- increases safety - the risk of accidental release is minimal,
- makes it easy to store - you will disassemble the set into shorter pieces that will fit on a shelf in a storage room or garage.
Use of Fiskars OneClick scissor shears with handles
OneClick scissor pruner with short handles is a versatile garden tool. It will work well in small home gardens, as well as in larger gardens or recreational plots. Typical applications:
- Pruning of fresh branches of trees and shrubs - The bypass scissor head is ideal for live, green shoots, providing a smooth, clean cut that accelerates plant wound healing.
- Formation of ornamental shrubs and hedges - comfortable, short handles allow full control over cutting, which is crucial when giving plants the desired shape.
- Cleaning work in the garden - Removal of overly dense shoots, growth correction of young trees, thinning of fruit bushes or cleaning up flower beds.
- Preparing plants for winter - Cutting out diseased, damaged or crossing branches so that plants overwinter healthily.
Thanks to its light weight, compact design and non-slip handle finishes, the Fiskars OneClick set is also comfortable for people who do not have much strength in their hands. This is an ideal tool for hobbyists, but also for more advanced gardeners who need reliable equipment for many seasons.
Key Features and User Benefits - Fiskars OneClick Scissor Shears and Handles
When choosing a pruning shear, customers pay attention primarily to the comfort of work, the durability of the tool and the quality of cutting. This set meets all these expectations:

Examples of daily applications:

- removal of excess young shoots from fruit trees in the orchard,
- cleaning up shrubs in beds after the growing season.

Comfort and safety at work with Fiskars OneClick pruning shears
The comfort and safety of the user are of paramount importance during many hours of gardening work. The design of the short handles and the way they connect to the secateurs' head were developed to:
- Ensure a natural hand position - the shape of the handles adjusts to the hand, reducing tension in the wrists and forearms.
- Increase control over cutting - The two-handed handle allows precise positioning of the blade relative to the branch, which improves the aesthetics and accuracy of the work.
- Minimize the risk of slippage - handle surface is made of durable plastic equipped with non-slip elements in the characteristic orange color of Fiskars.
Safe use is also facilitated by:
- the ability to conveniently unfold the tool (easier transportation and storage in a closed toolbox),
- stable OneClick head mount that prevents accidental release during operation,
- clean, precise cuts, reducing the need to repeatedly trim the same branches.
In practice, this means that the secateurs can be used comfortably by both younger and older people, as well as users with less strength in their hands - for example, during regular maintenance of the home garden, allotment garden or green areas at the summer house.

How to take care of the OneClick scissor pruner so that it will serve for many years to come?
To get the most out of your Fiskars OneClick pruning shears and short handles, it's a good idea to follow a few simple maintenance rules:
- Cleaning after each use - wipe the blades with a damp cloth and then with a dry one to remove moisture and plant juices. For heavier dirt, use a mild detergent.
- Protection against corrosion - from time to time, apply a thin layer of technical oil or special preservative to the blades and moving parts.
- Sharpening - when you notice that cutting requires more force or the edge of the blade is dulled, sharpening with a diamond file will quickly restore the tool to full performance.
- Storage - disassemble the set (disconnect the head from the handles) and store in a dry place, away from moisture. Avoid leaving your pruning shears on the ground or in the grass when you're done.
Following these recommendations will not only increase the life of the tool, but also ensure safer and more comfortable operation. Sharp, clean blades minimize the risk of plant damage and the need to repeatedly cut through the same branch.
FAQ - Frequently asked questions about Fiskars OneClick scissor shears and short handles
1. For what type of branches is it best to use this pruner?
The OneClick scissor shear is primarily designed for cutting fresh, live branches, young shoots, and ornamental shrubs and hedges. Bypass head provides a clean, smooth cut, ideal for live plants.
2. Can I connect the head to other Fiskars handles?
Yes, the cutting head was created specifically for the Fiskars OneClick system. This means that it can be combined with both the short handles from the kit and compatible OneClick handles, allowing you to increase your working range.
3. Does the installation require the use of tools?
Not. OneClick system allows you to quickly connect and disconnect components without additional tools. Simply slide the head into the holder until you hear the characteristic "click".
4. How to take care of blades so they stay sharp for a long time?
After each use, it is a good idea to clean the blades from plant juices and moisture, and then periodically protect them with a thin layer of oil. If necessary, they can be sharpened with a diamond file or a special sharpener for garden tools.
5. Is the pruner suitable for cutting dry, very hard branches?
A scissor pruner will cope with thinner, dry branches, but for very hard or thick dry branches it is better to choose a tool with an anvil head or a special garden saw. This will avoid excessive strain on the blades.
6. Will the tool work in a small home garden?
Yes, it is an excellent choice for small and medium-sized gardens. The short handles and compact design make it easy to maneuver between flowerbeds, and the ability to later expand the OneClick system with other handles and heads gives you ample opportunity to grow your toolkit without having to buy entirely new pruning shears.
