What is the left knife 446 mm SGS532050422163 for CHEYENNE/23/26/GOLIATH series tractor?

Left blade 446 mm SGS532050422163 is a working element of the mower deck mounted on CHEYENNE 23, CHEYENNE 26 and GOLIATH series garden tractors with 132 cm deck. The term "left-hand blade" means that this blade is designed to be mounted on the left side of the unit (as viewed from the operator's position). It is the key part responsible for cutting the grass, cutting it evenly and chopping it properly, which directly affects the appearance of the lawn and the performance of the tractor.

Made of hard, abrasion-resistant steel, the knife can withstand collisions with small stones, sand or twigs, and when properly sharpened, it ensures long-lasting use. The precision-designed profile allows for optimal airflow generation, which facilitates the lifting of grass blades and their even cutting across the entire working width of the unit.

Left-hand knife assembly 446 mm on CHEYENNE 23/26/GOLIATH tractor - fit and safety

The 446 mm left-hand blade is designed for installation on the 132 cm wide mower deck used on CHEYENNE/23/26/GOLIATH series tractors. Thanks to clearly defined parameters - length 446 mm, width 60 mm, central hole 10 mm in diameter, side hole 8 mm and distance between holes 75 mm - the user is assured that the blade will fit correctly into the original mounting. In practice, this means quick installation without the need for modifications and compliance with all safety standards stipulated by the machine manufacturer.

When replacing the blade, it is enough to lift the unit, secure the tractor from moving, and then unscrew the worn part and attach the new one, paying attention to the correct positioning of the cutting side and the left direction of operation. Examples of daily use include:

  • seasonal replacement of blades after a busy mowing season to improve cut quality,
  • replacement after accidentally stepping on a stone or metal object that has dulled or chipped the blade,
  • preventive replacement before starting work on a large, representative lawn, where perfect visual effect counts.

Use of 446 mm blade for 132 cm unit - ideal mowing effect on large areas

The 446 mm left-hand blade is designed for tractors that support a working width of 132 cm, so it's perfect for large areas - from home gardens, to areas around businesses and public facilities, to extensive recreational areas. Precise dimensions translate into an even width of the mowing belt, which significantly reduces working time and fuel consumption.

Examples of daily uses of the knife:

  • regular mowing of estate lawns - the even distribution of blades in the 132 cm unit allows you to quickly complete the service without leaving unmowed strips,
  • care of extensive green areas around hotels, guesthouses or sports facilities, where both performance and aesthetics matter,
  • maintenance of green belts at companies, warehouses and industrial plants, where a reliable machine working for many hours a day is needed.

Durability, quality and reliability of the left-hand knife for the CHEYENNE/GOLIATH tractor

Left-hand knife 446 mm is characterized by high resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. Properly selected steel grade and heat treatment process ensure optimum hardness - the blade is hard enough to retain the cutting edge for a long time, while flexible enough to minimize the risk of cracking when accidentally coming into contact with obstacles in the grass.

For the user, this means:

  • less frequent need to sharpen or replace the blade, which reduces the cost of operating the tractor,
  • stable, even operation of the unit without excessive vibration that could affect the operator's comfort,
  • the confidence that even during the busy mowing season the equipment will work reliably every day.

For example, the owner of a large garden who mows the grass every few days will appreciate the fact that a well-chosen and durable blade does not require frequent service interventions. Similarly, a landscaping service company can reduce machine downtime and increase the efficiency of its crews with such a blade.

1. Will this knife fit my tractor?

The blade is designed for CHEYENNE/23/26/GOLIATH series tractors with 132 cm wide mower deck. To be sure of compatibility, it is worth comparing the length of the old blade (446 mm), width (60 mm), and hole diameters and spacing (10 mm, 8 mm, 75 mm).

2. Which means that the knife is "left"?

The term "left-hand knife" refers to the mounting side and direction of the blade. This model is mounted on the left side of the mower deck (viewed from the operator's position). Most tractors require the correct left and right blade for proper operation of the unit.

3. How often should you replace the blade in the tractor?

Frequency of replacement depends on the intensity of use and operating conditions. For regular mowing of a home garden, it is usually sufficient to sharpen the blade once or twice a season and replace it every few seasons. For professional work or in difficult terrain (stones, sand), replacement may be needed more often.

4. Can you replace the knife yourself?

Yes, it is possible to replace the blade yourself, provided you follow the safety rules: immobilize the tractor, disconnect the ignition, protect the aggregate from falling and use the appropriate tools. However, if in doubt, it is recommended to use the service.

5. How to take care of a new knife to make it last as long as possible?

To prolong the life of the blade, it is a good idea to avoid mowing at too low a height on rocky ground, regularly clean the blade from grass and soil, and inspect its condition before each season. Minor dullness can be removed by sharpening, remembering to maintain the balance of the knife (balance).

6. Is this blade suitable for mulching?

The 446 mm left blade is a standard cutting blade for the 132 cm unit. Can work with grass collection or side ejection systems. For specialized mulching, it's best to check the tractor manual to see if the manufacturer provides dedicated mulching blades for your model.
