KNIPER HUB S 474 LOW R302842 - Professional mower hub, guarantee precise and safe cutting

Knife hub S 474 low

no. 22463015

Knife hub S 474 low R302842 is a sturdy metal mounting component responsible for securely attaching and properly guiding the cutting blade on a lawn mower or other garden equipment. It is a key component of the cutting system - it connects the blade to the drive shaft, transferring torque from the engine to the blade, and thus allows efficient lawn mowing without vibration and dangerous backlash.

This model is identified by part number R302842 and corresponds to the original part number 22463015, which makes it easy to accurately select a replacement when repairing or maintaining the mower. Low hub design ("S 474 low") maintains proper blade working height and compatibility with factory guard and mower body.

Knife hub S 474 low R302842 - construction, purpose and key features

Piasta noża S 474 niska R302842

Knife hub S 474 low R302842 is made of heavy-duty metal alloy, resistant to the stresses caused by the high-speed operation of the cutting knife. The body has a reinforced base and stiffening ribs that increase the component's resistance to torsion and bending. In the central part there is a hole with a suitable milling/groove to ensure proper seating on the shaft and to prevent rotation of the hub relative to the shaft.

The hub is designed for installation on lawn mowers, garden tractors or cutting machines with the original part number 22463015. It is mounted between the cutting blade and the drive shaft, often with additional components such as bolts, washers or wedges to fix it. A properly installed hub ensures stable seating of the blade, minimizes vibration and increases user safety.

In daily use, the S 474 low knife hub is responsible for:

  • reliable power transmission from the engine to the cutting blade,
  • keeping the knife in the correct working position,
  • reducing vibration and noise during mowing,
  • protection of the drive shaft from damage resulting from hitting stones or hard obstacles.

In practice, this means that replacing a worn or damaged hub with a new one, such as model R302842, directly translates into better cutting quality, comfortable mowing and longer life of the entire machine.

Installation of the S 474 low R302842 knife hub - where it is installed and when it is worth replacing it?

Montaż piasty noża S 474 niska R302842

Knife hub S 474 low R302842 is mounted directly on the drive shaft of the mower in the working part of the machine, just at the bottom of the cutting body. The mower blade is bolted to the hub - usually with a central bolt or set screw. This is where the greatest forces acting during mowing are concentrated, which is why the quality and precision of the hub is so important.

Typical signs of wear or damage to the hub, at which it is worth replacing it with a new one:

  • perceptible backlash of the knife despite proper tightening of the screws,
  • excessive vibration of the device during operation,
  • uneven cutting, "ragged" lawn,
  • traces of cracks, deformation or damage to the socket on the shaft,
  • damage after the knife is violently struck by a stone, root, curb or metal part.

Replacement of the hub is a service procedure that can be carried out independently, provided that the following safety precautions are observed: disconnect the power supply, protect the device from accidental start-up, use the appropriate tools, and tighten all components according to the recommendations of the machine manufacturer. With the right S 474 low R302842 blade hub, you will restore stability, comfort and quality mowing to your mower.

Use of blade hub S 474 low R302842 in the daily operation of a lawn mower

Zastosowanie piasty noża S 474 niska R302842

Knife hub S 474 low R302842 is used in lawn mowers and garden equipment adapted to work with a knife set low relative to the cutting body. This type of design is particularly useful in equipment designed for regular maintenance of home lawns, corporate areas or urban greenery, where an even, aesthetically pleasing grass surface is important.

Examples of daily applications:

  • Home garden: regular mowing of the lawn around the house, where a stable hub and a properly installed blade ensure an even cut without "waves" or bumps.
  • Service gardening: landscaping companies use mowers for many hours a day - the robust R302842 hub reduces service downtime and minimizes the risk of failure.
  • Recreational and sports facilities: on playing fields, playgrounds or recreational areas, repeatable quality of mowing is key; a worn hub can cause vibration, resulting in poorer-looking turf.

Thanks to the use of durable metal alloy and thoughtful design, the S 474 low R302842 knife hub is suitable for both intensive professional use and work in the home garden. Replacing random replacements with the original hub type of 22463015 minimizes the risk of damage to the shaft, blade and the entire cutting mechanism.

Quality, durability and reliability - why choose the S 474 low R302842 knife hub?

Jakość piasty noża S 474 niska R302842

S 474 low R302842 knife hub is designed for long-lasting and trouble-free operation in demanding gardening conditions. During mowing, the hub is exposed to heavy dynamic loads, impacts, moisture, dust and dirt. Therefore, it is made of high-quality material with increased resistance to deformation and cracking, which translates into a long service life.

User benefits:

  • Safety: stable blade seating and adequate power transmission reduce the risk of blade detachment or uncontrolled blade movement.
  • Saving time and money: durable hub requires less frequent replacement, reducing service costs and machine downtime.
  • Better mowing quality: less vibration and rigid blade attachment for even, aesthetically pleasing grass cutting.

In daily practice, the user will appreciate that after replacing the worn hub with a new model S 474 low R302842, the mower runs quieter, smoother and more precisely. This is especially important where a professional effect counts - for example, in show gardens, on representative company grounds or in urban greenery next to public buildings.
