Starter cord 3.5 mm OO-SPA560126 - professional starter cord for lawnmowers, chainsaws and garden equipment (100 m)

Starter cable 3.5 mm 100 m is a high-quality, heavy-duty starter cord designed for manual starters on combustion equipment. With a diameter of 3.5 mm and a length of 100 m, it is ideal for professional service workshops, spare parts stores, as well as demanding home users who expect reliability and long life of the starter cord.

What is the 3.5 mm starter cable OO-SPA560126 and how does it work?

Starter cable 3.5 mm OO-SPA560126 is a specialized braided cable made of durable synthetic fibers, designed to transmit the starting force from the handle (grip) to the starter mechanism in combustion equipment. When you pull the handle, the cable winds and unwinds on the starter drum, setting the engine shaft in motion and enabling it to start the engine.

The 3.5mm diameter is a universal standard used on many popular models of lawnmowers, chainsaws, brushcutters, tillers or power generators. Braided construction provides high tensile and abrasion resistance, and properly selected elasticity improves comfort and reduces the risk of line breakage during a sudden jerk.

  • replacement cable when repairing a damaged starter,
  • service line in repair shops - from the roll we cut off exactly as much as needed,
  • line for upgrading or reconditioning older combustion equipment.

Typical mounting locations for the 3.5mm cable OO-SPA560126:

  • lawn mowers (push and self-propelled),
  • petrol chainsaws and chainsaws,
  • scythes and petrol trimmers,
  • leaf blowers, scarifiers, garden aerators,
  • power generators and small motor pumps,
  • soilers, compactors, small construction machines.

In practice, the replacement is as follows: dismantle the starter cover, remove the old or damaged cable, cut the appropriate section of the new cable from the 100 m reel, secure the end of the cable in the drum, wind a few coils, then thread through the guide holes and attach to the starter bracket. Thanks to the long roll, you get full freedom to adjust the length to your specific device model.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions about 3.5 mm starter cable OO-SPA560126

Question 1: Will the 3.5 mm starter cable OO-SPA560126 fit my mower?
Answer: The 3.5mm diameter is commonly used in many models of lawnmowers, chainsaws and brushcutters. To be absolutely sure, it is a good idea to compare the diameter of the old cable or check the recommendations of the device manufacturer. In most popular designs, the 3.5mm cable is fully compatible.

Question 2: What length of line should I cut from a 100m roll?
Answer: The length depends on the specific model of the device. The easiest way is to measure the old line before discarding it and add 5-10 cm of provision for a comfortable fit in the drum and handle. If the old line is no longer there, you can use the instructions of the device or by trial method to select the length - usually it is in the range of tens to about 150 cm.

Question 3: Do you need special tools to install the starter cable?
Answer: Mostly basic tools will suffice: a screwdriver to remove the starter housing, a knife or sharp scissors to trim the cable, and possibly pliers to tighten the knots or lugs securely. The assembly itself is simple and can be done by yourself.

Question 4: How to take care of the starter cable so that it serves as long as possible?
Answer: Avoid excessive jerking and banging the handle against the starter housing. Regularly check the condition of the cable at the exit of the housing - if abrasions or frayed fibers appear, it is worth replacing it in advance. Store the device in a dry place to reduce the effect of moisture on the starter mechanism.

Question 5: From one roll of 100 m, can I replace the line in several devices?
Answer: Yes, this is one of the biggest advantages of this product. From a roll of 100 meters, you can cut off the sections needed for many devices - depending on the length of a single line, this is usually enough for a dozen or even dozens of full replacements, making the purchase very economical.
