What is the ejection duct plug for OM124 / grinding 68120017B?
Ejection channel plug for OM124 / mulching 68120017B is an original accessory for Oleo-Mac OM124 garden tractors, enabling operation in grass milling (mulching) mode. Instead of throwing the cut grass into the trash or onto the lawn, the kit directs it back under the mower housing, where it is repeatedly cut into small fragments. Such shredded plant matter forms a natural, even fertilizer that quickly penetrates the soil and improves the condition of the lawn.
The set consists of a sturdy ejection tunnel cap and a control handle/arm, which guarantees stable installation, convenient operation and long service life even under heavy use. It's ideal for users who want to reduce the work involved in emptying the trash and removing green waste, while still getting a thick, healthy and lusciously green lawn.
Where the OM124 ejection duct plug / grinding 68120017B is installed?
The ejection channel plug is mounted directly in place of the standard grass ejection on the Oleo-Mac OM124 garden tractor. When the ejection tunnel cover is removed or tilted, the cap is attached to the factory mounting points, so it fits perfectly into the mower housing and effectively closes the ejection opening.
The arm with an ergonomic handle extends outwards and allows convenient operation of the set - depending on the design of the tractor, the operator can easily switch the mowing function, and when the work is finished, it is easy to remove the cap and return to the traditional collection of grass into the basket.
Assembly is done without structural modifications - just use the included fasteners or the original mounting points provided by the tractor manufacturer. This makes the entire process fast and safe, and gives you a fully functional mulching system that is ideally suited to the OM124 model.

Oleo-Mac OM124 ejection channel plug / grinding - quality, durability and reliability
As an original accessory designed for Oleo-Mac OM124 tractors, the 68120017B ejection channel plug is designed for years of trouble-free use. The body of the element is made of durable material that is resistant to the impact of stones, twigs, and the intense vibrations created when mowing large areas.
The steel arm with handle is coated to prevent corrosion, which is crucial when working in humid garden environments. Non-slip grip provides a secure hold even with work gloves or in rainy weather. Such refinement of details translates into high comfort of operation - the user does not have to worry about bending of components, their accidental unlocking or loosening during mowing.
In practice, this means that OM124 tractor owners can take full advantage of the machine's potential, without having to fit universal, often less durable accessories. The original plug works precisely with the factory basket, guaranteeing optimal conditions for efficient grass grinding.

Application - when to use OM124 ejection channel plug / grinding?
The OM124 68120017B ejection duct plug is used in all jobs where you want fast, efficient mowing without having to collect the grass in the garbage can. This solution is especially recommended for owners of large gardens, recreational areas, sports fields, orchards or backyard areas, where emptying the trash every ten minutes or so is cumbersome and time-consuming.
When mowing with the grinding set, the cut grass is intensively shredded and then evenly distributed over the lawn surface. With this:
- no unsightly deposits of cut grass are created,
- the amount of green waste to be exported is reduced,
- plant tomas acts as a natural fertilizer, improving soil structure and moisture content,
- the lawn is healthier, denser and more resistant to dryness.
The kit is especially good for frequent mowing when the grass is not too tall or wet. Under such conditions, mulching gives the best visual effect, and the shredded fragments are practically invisible on the turf surface.
Benefits of mulching the grass with the OM124 68120017B plug
Using the ejection channel plug for OM124 / grinding 68120017B provides a number of tangible benefits for the user and the lawn itself. First of all, mowing becomes faster - not having to empty the basket allows you to handle large areas in one working cycle. This is a great convenience especially on properties over 1000-2000 m².
Second, mulching significantly reduces the amount of green waste. Instead of filling bags or trailers with grass cuttings, we turn them into valuable fertilizer material that goes back into the lawn. In practice, this means lower export costs, less use of mineral fertilizers, and a greener approach to garden care.
Third, even distribution of shredded grass stabilizes soil moisture and protects it from drying out. The lawn tolerates hot weather better, requires watering less often, and the turf thickens quickly. It's ideal for those who want a professional-looking lawn while reducing the amount of work involved.
Easy operation and quick installation of the ejection channel cap for OM124
The ejection duct plug for the OM124 was designed to make its installation intuitive even for a first-time user of this type of accessory. Using factory attachment points, the entire operation comes down to a few simple steps - removing the standard ejection cover, inserting the cap and securing it with screws or clips.
The ergonomic arm with a handle makes it easy to operate, and the right length allows you to maneuver it without bending down to scythe level. This makes it quick and convenient to switch between traditional mowing mode and mulching mode, which is of great importance when working conditions change frequently (e.g. different sections of the garden, varying grass height).
When finished, the cap can be easily cleaned of grass residue and put away in a dry place to be ready for the next season. Simple design without complex mechanisms translates into high reliability and minimal service requirements.
Example of daily use of OM124 cap / grinding 68120017B
Ejection channel plug 68120017B works perfectly:
- In home gardens - when you mow your lawn once a week and want it to stay clean, without piles of grass clippings and the need to take the waste to the compost heap.
- In recreational areas and residential communities - Where speed of mowing and aesthetics matter, and large areas require reduced interruptions for emptying the garbage can.
- In orchards and on plots of land - Where shredded grass improves the soil around trees and shrubs, creating a natural mulching layer.
Regardless of the intended use, the use of a mulching plug always increases the efficiency of the OM124 tractor and enables a more professional approach to lawn care.

FAQ - frequently asked questions
1. Does the 68120017B ejection channel plug fit all Oleo-Mac tractors?
No, this plug model was designed for Oleo-Mac OM124 garden tractors. Separate versions of caps are used for other models (e.g. OM92, OM102). It is always a good idea to check the tractor symbol and part number of the accessory before you buy it.
2. Can I still use the grass catcher after installing the cap?
When operating with the ejection channel plug, the tractor operates in milling mode - the grass is not thrown into the trash, but is shredded and distributed over the lawn. To collect grass into the basket again, remove the cap and restore the standard ejection configuration.
3. Does the installation of the cap require specialized tools?
In most cases, the basic workshop tools used to operate the tractor (e.g. wrenches, screwdriver) will suffice. The plug uses the factory mounting points, so its installation is quick and does not require interference with the structure of the machine.
4. How often can you use the grinding function?
You can use mulching every time you mow, especially when the grass is not too tall and wet. Regular milling ensures the best result - even, dense turf and reduced green waste.
5. Won't shredded grass harm the lawn?
When mulching is done properly and mowed regularly, the finely cut grass quickly decomposes and acts as a natural fertilizer. It does not create stagnation or felt, but promotes healthy turf development by improving soil structure and moisture content.
6. Does the cap require special maintenance?
After the work is done, it's a good idea to clean the cap of grass residue and dirt, and before the season check the condition of the mounts and protective coating. With simple design and robust materials, maintenance requirements are minimal.
