What is the Oleo-Mac 3.0/44 m PLATIN-CUT cutting line and to which cutters it fits?

Oleo-Mac 3,0/44 m PLATIN-CUT cutting line is a professional working element for lawnmowers and trimmers, whose task is to effective cutting of vegetation instead of a traditional metal knife. With a diameter of 3.0 mm and length 44 m it is designed primarily for:

  • cutters and trimmers medium and high power, used in the care of larger gardens, orchards and green spaces,
  • universal vein heads adapted for veins with a diameter of 3.0 mm,
  • applications semi-professional and professional - Garden companies, municipal services, green space managers.

The cord is mounted in the cutting head of the scythe or trimmer. All you have to do is unscrew the head cover, wind the line properly on the drum, put the ends of the line through the holes and close the head again. With a length of 44 m, you can get many sets of strings, which translates into a long service life without the need for frequent purchases.

The product is compatible not only with Oleo-Mac brand equipment, but also with many other lawnmowers and trimmers that support 3.0 mm line, making it a a universal choice for most users.

PLATIN-CUT double-layer construction - strength up to 40% greater

The most important feature of the Oleo-Mac 3.0/44 m PLATIN-CUT cutting line is its advanced, two-layer construction. It consists of:

  • inner core - with very high resistance to breakage and rupture, which minimizes the risk of downtime during operation,
  • outer envelope - Extremely abrasion-resistant, so the line wears out much more slowly than standard solutions.

This combination translates into extended durability of up to 40% over traditional fishing lines. In practice, this means that the user:

  • it stops work less often to replace or lengthen the line,
  • saves time and money - one package lasts much longer,
  • can use the scythe more intensively in difficult terrain - against walls, rocks and trees.

Examples of applications in daily work:

  • care of large home gardens - Regular mowing of tall grass near fences, flowerbeds or around trees,
  • maintenance of company and estate grounds - frequent use by cleaning crews, where the equipment works for many hours a day,
  • cleaning work on farms - Mowing of wastelands, roadsides and places that are difficult to access for a tractor or rotary mower.

Serrated square profile - aggressive and clean cutting of dense vegetation

Innovative square serrated profile makes the Oleo-Mac PLATIN-CUT line cut vegetation more aggressively and precisely than traditional round veins. The serrated edges act as fine blades that:

  • easily "bite" into hard stalks grasses and weeds,
  • provide faster operation on large areas,
  • reduce fraying of plant tips, which improves the aesthetics of the mowed surface.

Such a profile is particularly recommended for:

  • tall and overgrown grass, which an ordinary fishing line is not able to cut quickly,
  • weeds with thick stems, for example, nettles, burdock or self-seed,
  • thickets and reeds on home sites, recreational plots and wastelands.

In daily use, the user gains:

  • shorter mowing time - easily deal with the neglected area before the season,
  • better precision when trimming around curbs, fences, walls,
  • lower operator fatigue - The tool works faster and more efficiently, so you spend less time with the scythe in your hands.

Heat resistant up to 280°C - safe operation at high speeds

Oleo-Mac PLATIN-CUT fishing line is characterized by exceptionally high temperature resistance - up to 280°C. During intensive mowing, the line comes into contact with the head, grass, stones and other obstacles. Friction generates high temperatures, which in the case of ordinary fishing lines can lead to:

  • line melting and sticking to the head drum,
  • structural weaknesses and frequent ripping,
  • the need for frequent breaks to "relax" and cool the tool.

With PLATIN-CUT monofilament, this risk has been significantly reduced. Thanks to its resistance to temperatures as high as 280°C, the product:

  • maintains its mechanical properties even when working at high speeds for long periods of time,
  • is not easily deformed or melted at the head,
  • provides stable cutting quality throughout its lifetime.

This is especially important when:

  • mowing in full sun in hot weather, when both the engine and the head get hot a lot,
  • long-term continuous work - For example, in the maintenance of extensive areas,
  • intensive commercial use - gardening services, utility work.

Oleo-Mac 3,0/44 m PLATIN-CUT cutting line - garden, farm and service applications

Thanks to its design and technical parameters, the Oleo-Mac 3.0/44 m PLATIN-CUT fishing line is extremely versatile in terms of application. It works well in many typical and demanding jobs:

  • Private gardening - Regular mowing of home lawns, borders, slopes, ditches, places difficult to access for large mowers.
  • Farms - maintaining order around buildings, barns, warehouses, fences, orchards or plantations.
  • Gardening services and outside companies - working for many hours a day in various locations, often in neglected areas.
  • Municipal services - Mowing roadsides, drainage ditches, green areas near public institutions.
  • Recreational plots and RODs - Quickly bring the plot to order after the winter, restore order in the wasteland.

The monofilament also performs very well in areas where they appear:

  • stones, gravel, curbs, walls - Where impacts cause rapid wear and tear on weaker lines,
  • dense forest litter and undergrowth - High cutting aggressiveness is required,
  • vegetation of varying heights - From low grass to tall reeds.

  • tidiness during storage - The line does not unwind on its own, it is protected against accidental entanglement,
  • protection against mechanical damage - blister protects the line in transport and in the workshop.

With a diameter of 3.0 mm, the 44 m length allows:

  • multiple refilling of the head in season,
  • support several devices when working in a company or on a larger farm,
  • saving - you buy one roll, which you use for a long time, instead of many short sections.

FAQ - frequently asked questions about Oleo-Mac 3.0/44 m PLATIN-CUT cutting line

1. To which devices the Oleo-Mac 3.0/44 m PLATIN-CUT fishing line fits?
The cord fits most petrol-driven and electric lawnmowers and trimmers, whose heads are adapted for veins with a diameter of 3.0 mm. It can be used on Oleo-Mac brand equipment, as well as many other manufacturers, as long as the manufacturer allows the use of 3.0 mm line.

2. How to properly wind the line on the head?
You should open the head, remove the remains of the old line, then measure out the appropriate length (usually a few meters, according to the instructions of the head), wind evenly on the drum, guide the ends through the exit holes and close the head. It is worth checking the detailed winding method in the manual of the specific cutting head.

3. What is the difference between a square serrated profile and a round one?
Profile square serrated provides more aggressive, fast cutting, especially in tall grass, weeds and brush. Regular round line is less aggressive and more often used for light work. PLATIN-CUT combines high cutting efficiency with long life.

4. Is PLATIN-CUT monofilament suitable for stone and masonry work?
Yes. The monofilament is designed to work also in more difficult terrain conditions, such as the vicinity of stones, walls or curbs. Any type of monofilament wears out faster in such places, but the double-layer construction and serrated profile make PLATIN-CUT withstand these conditions much better than standard monofilament.

5. How long does one 44 m pack last?
The duration of use depends on intensity of work, type of mowed vegetation and field conditions. For typical backyard use, one 44m pack can even last for an whole season. In professional applications, the lifespan will be shorter, but still noticeably longer than that of ordinary fishing lines of similar diameter.

6. Can the line melt in the head during long operation?
Thanks to resistance to temperatures as high as 280°C, the risk of melting the line in the head is much lower than with standard products. However, it is important to remember to use the machine correctly - use the recommended speed and service the scythe regularly.

7. Is Oleo-Mac PLATIN-CUT fishing line suitable for beginners?
Yes. Despite the fact that it is a line of professional grade, also works great for beginners. Provides easy operation, high cutting efficiency and a high tolerance for errors due to inexperience, such as leading too close to walls and stones.
