Air filter for Oleo-Mac BC430 / BC431 / BC431TL lawnmowers 61350078R - original engine protection and top working performance

Air filter for BC430/ BC431/ BC431TL scythes - what is the part and what is it responsible for?

Air filter for Oleo-Mac BC430, BC431 and BC431TL lawnmowers, part number 61350078R, is a high-quality component of the intake system of a two-stroke engine. Its primary task is to effectively clean the air drawn into the combustion chamber from dust, dust, grass particles and other contaminants that occur during work in the garden, at the allotment or in green areas. As a result, the engine of the petrol scythe works under optimal conditions, it obtains adequate power, and the risk of seizure and premature wear of mechanical components is significantly reduced.

The filter cartridge is made of high quality pleated filter material, embedded in a flexible frame. This design allows for a large filtration area with compact dimensions, while ensuring proper sealing in the filter housing. Changing the air filter regularly is one of the easiest yet most effective ways to keep Oleo-Mac petrol scythes in top shape for many seasons to come.

Where does the air filter 61350078R mount on Oleo-Mac BC430 / BC431 / BC431TL lawnmowers?

Air filter 61350078R is mounted in the air filter housing, located directly at the carburetor of the engine of the internal combustion scythe. This is where the air drawn in by the engine first goes before it is mixed with the fuel. In practice, this means that the filter:

  • constitutes the first line of protection for the cylinder, piston, rings and bearings against dust and grass particles,
  • prevents larger contaminants from entering the carburetor, reducing the risk of upsetting the carburetor or clogging the jets,
  • affects stability of the fuel-air mixture, and therefore for ease of starting and even operation at all speeds.

Filter replacement is quick and intuitive. In most cases, this is enough:

  1. Disconnect the ignition cable from the spark plug (for safety reasons).
  2. Unscrew or unfasten the air filter housing cover.
  3. Remove the used filter and clean the inside of the housing of loose debris.
  4. Insert the new filter 61350078R, taking care to ensure proper alignment in the socket.
  5. Close the case and reconnect the wire to the plug.

With the proper installation of a new filter, Oleo-Mac BC430, BC431 and BC431TL scythes regain full efficiency, respond better to gas and use less fuel.

The offered air filter is an original Oleo-Mac spare part, specially designed for selected models of the brand's petrol scythes. The use of a matched, dedicated filter ensures full dimensional compliance and a tight fit in the housing, which translates into safety and engine performance.

Filter 61350078R fits m.in. for the following models of Oleo-Mac petrol cutters:

  • BC 430 S
  • BC 430 T
  • BC 430 TL
  • BC 431 TL
  • BC 431 - versions according to the manufacturer's designation
  • BCF 430

Thanks to such wide compatibility, the filter will find application in equipment used by demanding individual users, as well as in garden service companies or in the maintenance of green areas around industrial plants.

Examples of daily applications:

  • regular mowing of home lawns and plot edges,
  • cleanup work on fences, slopes and ditches, where a lot of dust floats,
  • maintenance of greenery in the areas of companies, housing estates or playing fields, where the scythe works for a long time at high speed.

The most important benefits of the air filter for BC430/BC431/BC431TL 61350078R scythes

Choosing the right air filter is an investment in longer engine life and the comfort of everyday work. The 61350078R cartridge offers a number of practical advantages that any Oleo-Mac lawnmower user will quickly experience:

  • Effective filtration of contaminants - dense, pleated material traps particles of dust, sand and plant debris, keeping the interior of the engine clean and working surfaces free of excessive wear.
  • Stable engine operation - Uniform air flow ensures proper fuel-air mixture, which reduces stalling, "throttling" at high rpm and starting problems.
  • Fuel savings - Optimum combustion means lower mixture consumption and less smoke and exhaust emissions, which is especially important for long-lasting work.
  • Protection from costly repairs - Regular replacement of the air filter reduces the risk of cylinder seizure, wear of piston rings and bearings, thus avoiding expensive service visits.
  • Simple and quick installation - replacement can be carried out by the user himself, without specialized tools and a visit to the service center.

In practice, this means more reliable mowing, less downtime and the confidence that the machine will be ready to go whenever you need it - whether for short weekend mowing or intensive professional applications.

Quality, durability and reliability - why choose the original Oleo-Mac filter 61350078R?

Selection of original air filter is critical to the safety and longevity of the engine. The product with the number 61350078R is made in accordance with the rigorous standards of the manufacturer of Oleo-Mac lawnmowers, which translates into:

  • precise matching of dimensions to the filter housing of the BC430, BC431 and BC431TL models - no leaks to allow dust "in the shortcut",
  • resistance of the filter material for working conditions in dusty environments - the filter retains its properties throughout the preset service life,
  • durable, flexible frame, which resists the vibration and oscillation generated by the two-stroke engine,
  • consistent workmanship - each batch of product meets the same requirements, which makes it easier to conduct regular maintenance of the machinery fleet.

For the user, this means certainty of compatibility and no need to fit or modify replacements. The original air filter works with the carburetor and the rest of the intake system exactly as the machine manufacturer intended.

Service recommendations and best practices for using the air filter on Oleo-Mac lawnmowers

To get the most out of your 61350078R air filter, it's a good idea to follow a few proven operating principles:

  • Regularly check the condition of the filter - especially after working in very dusty environments (dry grasses, roadsides, sandy areas). Replace the cartridge with a new one if it is visibly dirty.
  • Do not use aggressive cleaning - blowing with low-force compressed air or gently shaking it off can help on an ad hoc basis, but is no substitute for periodic filter replacement.
  • Use only filters according to the manufacturer's recommendations - Using elements with incorrect dimensions or too small a filter area can lead to rapid wear of the engine.
  • Combine filter replacement with other maintenance activities - candle inspection, fuel line check and carburetor cleanliness will keep the machine in perfect shape for the entire season.

Applying these simple rules, the user prolongs the life of Oleo-Mac lawnmowers and gets stable performance regardless of field conditions.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions about the air filter for BC430/BC431/BC431TL 61350078R scythes

Question 1: How often should you change the air filter on the Oleo-Mac BC430 / BC431 lawnmower??
Answer: Frequency of replacement depends on the intensity and conditions of operation. For typical domestic use, it is recommended to check the condition of the filter every few hours of operation and replacement at least once a season. In very dusty conditions (dry, dusty grasses, sandy areas), it is worth changing the filter more often - even several times a season.

Question 2: Does the filter 61350078R fit all Oleo-Mac lawnmowers?
Answer: No, the filter 61350078R is mainly for selected models in the series BC 430, BC 431, BC 431 TL and BCF 430. Before buying, it's a good idea to compare the model designation on the unit's nameplate with the compatibility list and check the part number in the manual.

Question 3: Can I clean this filter and reuse it instead of replacing it?
Answer: It is permissible to gently clean the filter of loose debris (e.g., light shaking or blowing with compressed air with a little force). However, the filter is a consumable item and once it becomes visibly dirty or the performance of the scythe decreases, it should be replaced with a new one to ensure full filtration efficiency.

Question 4: What are the symptoms of a worn or dirty air filter?
Answer: The most common symptoms are: difficult starting, stalling after adding gas, loss of power in dense grass, increased smoke, and significantly higher fuel consumption. If the symptoms persist after cleaning the filter, it is worth installing a new cartridge 61350078R.

Question 5: Can I do the installation of the 61350078R filter myself?
Answer: Yes, replacing the air filter is a simple service that most users can do themselves in a few minutes. Simply disconnect the ignition cable, open the filter housing, replace the cartridge with a new one and close the housing again, taking care to close it properly.
