Cutter blade mounting bolt 61040074AR - reliable blade mounting on lawn mowers and garden tractors

CUTTING DISC MOUNTING BOLT 61040074AR is a specialized fastener designed for safe and stable screwing of the cutting disc on lawn mowers and garden tractors. It is responsible for keeping the disc precisely aligned, which directly affects the quality of mowing, user safety and the durability of the entire cutting system.

The screw works under very demanding conditions - high speed, variable load and exposure to mechanical impacts (stones, branches, uneven ground). Therefore, it is made of durable construction material and properly shaped to hold the disc securely and minimize the risk of loosening it during operation.

Cutting disc mounting bolt suitable for models:

  • 733
  • 740
  • 746
  • 753

This element is mounted directly in the cutting unit of the mower or tractor - it goes through a hole in the cutting disc and screws into the hub or drive shaft. This keeps the disc firmly pressed against the adjacent components, preventing it from moving, vibrating and slipping on the shaft. The screw is particularly important where high precision lawn cutting is required and confidence that the blade will not loosen even under heavy use.

Application of bolt 61040074AR includes primarily:

  • lawnmowers and garden tractors equipped with a center-mounted cutting disc,
  • replacement of a worn or damaged screw on models 733, 740, 746, 753,
  • service and maintenance of the cutting system in professional and home lawn care equipment.

By using the appropriate fixing screw:

  • you increase the safety of operating the device,
  • you improve the quality of mowing (stable blade = even, clean cut),
  • you reduce wear and tear on the hub, disc and other components,
  • you avoid costly failures resulting from backlash and vibration.

Cutting disc mounting bolt 61040074AR - solid construction and durability for years to come

One of the most important features of the 61040074AR cutting disc mounting bolt is its durable design. The component is designed for heavy-duty use, where the cutting disc makes thousands of revolutions per minute and is subjected to significant overloads. Robust material and appropriately selected hardness allow the screw to retain its properties for a long time, even with frequent and intensive use.

Another advantage is precisely made thread, which provides secure tightening and high resistance to loosening during vibration. As a result, the user does not have to worry that during mowing - especially on uneven terrain - the disc will start to loosen, causing noise, vibration or uneven cutting. Using the correct tightening torque with a wrench in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's recommendations further enhances safety.

The 61040074AR screw is also distinguished by its resistant protective surface, which protects it from corrosion. Garden equipment often works in a humid environment - grass, rain, morning dew and plant debris can accelerate rusting of cheap fasteners. Properly secured bolt retains functionality and aesthetic appearance for a long time, which is especially important when the equipment is sometimes stored in less heated utility rooms.

In practice, this means that:

  • you maintain an even cutting line even on extensive lawns,
  • you reduce the risk of hub and shaft failures resulting from backlash,
  • you reduce the frequency of servicing the device and the expenditure on spare parts.

Use of cutting disc mounting bolt 61040074AR on models 733, 740, 746, 753

Cutting Wheel Mounting Bolt 61040074AR has been tailored to specific models of equipment, making servicing of equipment simpler and safer. Compatibility with 733, 740, 746, 753 models means that the user is assured of a proper fit between the length, diameter and shape of the bolt head and the original hub and cutting disc.

In these designs, the bolt is mounted centrally, passing through a hole in the disc and tightening it to the drive element. This type of mounting ensures stable seating of the disc, both during light mowing of the home lawn and for more demanding work - on recreational plots, in gardens with large areas or in areas around companies and institutions.

Typical everyday examples of using the 61040074AR screw on the above models are:

  • seasonal replacement of the cutting disc for a new one - for example, after the blade is damaged by stones or after several seasons of intensive use,
  • spring review equipment before the start of the mowing season, when it is recommended to check the condition of all fasteners, including bolts, washers and nuts,
  • repair after impact into a hard obstacle - when the disc may have come loose or moved, and replacement of the screw is necessary to maintain full operational safety.

Correct use of an original or dimensionally compliant mounting bolt is key to:

  • maintain the manufacturer's warranty on the machine (for new machines),
  • maintain the original performance of the cutting system,
  • avoid incorrect installation that could result in damage to the hub or drive shaft.

Safety and comfort with the 61040074AR cutting disc mounting screw

The cutting system of a lawn mower or garden tractor operates at high speed, so every component responsible for the attachment of the disc is of great importance for the safety of the user. Properly selected and tightened 61040074AR cutting disc mounting bolt minimizes the risk of the disc unscrewing during operation, which could lead to serious damage to the machine and even endanger the health of the operator.

This screw was developed to:

  • provide stable pressure on the disc even with sudden changes in load (e.g., driving into taller grass, branches, uneven terrain),
  • reduce the generation of vibrations, which are not only unpleasant for the user, but also accelerate the wear of bearings, hubs and the entire cutting mechanism,
  • facilitate disassembly and reassembly of the disc when sharpening, replacing or cleaning the cutting system.

As a result, the user gains:

  • greater working comfort - Less vibration, even cutting, lower noise due to backlash in mounting,
  • saving time - Faster service, simple inspection of the condition of the screw at each inspection,
  • peace and security - the knowledge that the disc is firmly attached and will not loosen during mowing.

Screw 61040074AR is a small but extremely important component, which in practice determines the reliable operation of the entire mower or tractor. Regular inspection of its condition (no thread damage, cracks, signs of excessive corrosion) and replacement when necessary is a simple service that significantly extends the life of the equipment.

How to properly select and replace the 61040074AR cutting disc mounting bolt?

In order to take full advantage of the advantages of the 61040074AR cutting disc mounting screw, it is worth noting some practical rules for selection and installation. First of all, you should always compare the part symbol with the device manufacturer's markings. Code 61040074AR corresponds to the screw used in specific models (733, 740, 746, 753), which guarantees the correct thread length, diameter and head shape.

When replacing, it is recommended:

  • place the mower or tractor on a stable, level surface and disconnect the power source (electrical cable or battery terminal),
  • block the rotation of the disc according to the manufacturer's recommendations - for example, by using a dedicated wedge or wooden block,
  • use appropriate key matched to the head of the screw to avoid damaging it,
  • check the condition of the adhesion surfaces of the disc and hub - clean them of grass residue, rust and dirt before reassembly,
  • tighten the new screw according to the recommended torque, to provide a secure but not overly strong fixation.

In daily operation, this means that the owner of the mower:

  • can carry out a basic inspection himself after the mowing season,
  • has the ability to respond quickly to symptoms such as noise, vibration or crooked cutting by replacing the screw with a new one,
  • saves on service costs while maintaining a high level of work safety.

3. How often should you replace the cut-off wheel mounting screw?
There is no rigidly defined time interval. The bolt should be checked at each seasonal inspection and after any situation in which the disc hits a hard obstacle. Replacement is necessary when you see signs of thread wear, head deformation, cracks or severe corrosion.

4. Is a special wrench needed to install the 61040074AR screw?
A standard wrench matching the shape and size of the screw head (usually a socket or ring wrench) is used for installation. It is important that the tool fits snugly on the head - this will avoid damage to the head and ensure proper tightening torque.

5. What are the symptoms of a worn or loose disc mounting bolt?
Typical symptoms include increased vibration of the machine, unusual noise around the blade, uneven or "jagged" lawn cutting, and noticeable blade play when inspected manually (with the machine turned off and secured, of course). In such a situation, immediately check the condition of the screw and replace it if necessary.

6. Does replacing the screw by itself affect the warranty of the device?
In most cases replacement of worn out operating elements, such as bolts holding the cutting disc, is acceptable as long as the parts used are in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. For new equipment, it's always a good idea to read the warranty terms and use original or approved replacements.

7. How to take care of the cutting disc mounting bolt to make it last as long as possible?
After the mowing season is over, it is a good idea to clean the bolt and the entire cutting system of grass residue and moisture, and then store the device in a dry place. Regular inspection of the degree of tightening and the condition of the bolt surface allows you to detect possible damage early and prevent more serious failures.
