Cedrus spring mount cassette scarifier CEDSMR11 CEDSMR12 780772 is an original mounting component designed for cassette scarifiers on Cedrus brand equipment. Thanks to a properly selected and solidly made mount, the springs operate at full capacity, and the entire device is protected from excessive wear and tear.
Product code: 780772 | Catalog Symbol: 4034924-9005 | Purpose: Cedrus clarifier cartridge CEDSMR11,CEDSMR12.
Cedrus spring mount - what is the component and what is it responsible for?
Cedrus spring mount cassette scarifier CEDSMR11 CEDSMR12 780772 is a heavy-duty metal structural plate with special pins and a central hole that allows proper seating on the shaft of the scarifier cassette. It is to this element that the working springs are attached, which comb the felt, dry grass and moss from the turf during the operation of the scarifier.
The correct geometry of the attachment guarantees:
- the right angle of the springs with respect to the lawn surface,
- uniform distribution of the load on the cassette shaft,
- protection of springs against displacement or extension during intensive use.
This allows the Cedrus skimmer to operate smoothly, without vibration or unnecessary overload, which is crucial for regular maintenance of larger home, estate or recreational lawns.
Where does the Cedrus CEDSMR11 CEDSMR12 780772 spring mount mount?
Cedrus spring mount 780772 is mounted directly in the cartridge of the skimmer, on the working shaft of the equipment:
- Cedrus CEDSMR11 - Clarifier cartridge designed for selected models of Cedrus equipment,
- Cedrus CEDSMR12 - a clarifier cassette of similar design, compatible with the same type of attachment.
This component installs using the factory sockets and cassette hooks - no additional modifications required. The use of the original mount is particularly important because:
- ensures full dimensional compatibility with the cassette and springs,
- maintains proper spacing of the spring attachment points,
- eliminates the risk of improper installation that could damage the shaft, springs or bearings.
In practice, replacing a fixture usually involves removing the worn part, cleaning the seating area and installing a new part in its place. Thanks to its simple design, the process is quick and can be done in-house by a user with basic service tools.
Application of spring attachment Cedrus cartridge scarifier CEDSMR11 CEDSMR12 780772
Cedrus spring mount 780772 is designed for:
- original scarification cassettes used in Cedrus scarifiers and scarifiers,
- replacement of damaged or worn-out fasteners in CEDSMR11 and CEDSMR12 cassettes,
- maintenance and overhaul of equipment, the operation of which has become less effective due to the fraying of spring mounts.
Efficient and stable attachment of springs is crucial in the following situations:
- Regular lawn care - with frequent sizing (e.g., twice a year), the slightest looseness in the attachment can cause a decrease in the effectiveness of the springs and deterioration of the effect on the turf.
- Intensive commercial use - Gardening companies and landscape managers operate equipment much more heavily than home users, so a secure and durable spring attachment has a direct impact on productivity and operator safety.
- Refurbishing older equipment - Replacing the mount itself is much cheaper than buying a new cassette or complete clarifier, and can restore full functionality to the machine.
Key features and benefits for the user
- Original Cedrus part - guarantee of a perfect fit with the CEDSMR11 and CEDSMR12 cassettes and full compatibility with other working components.
- Robust metal construction - resistance to deformation, cracking and corrosion, even with prolonged contact with moisture, soil and plant residues.
- Precision spring guidance - thanks to specially shaped pins and sockets, the springs work smoothly, without jamming or shifting.
- Extended life of the cassette and the entire scarifier - Stable mounting minimizes vibration and shock loads, which protects the shaft, bearings and springs.
- Simple installation - the design is provided for quick service replacement, which can be done by oneself without specialized equipment.
Construction and materials - why bet on the Cedrus original?
Cedrus spring mount cassette scarifier CEDSMR11 CEDSMR12 780772 is made of thick steel sheet, treated and protective painting. The black, smooth surface serves not only an aesthetic function, but above all protects against corrosion and the effects of adverse weather conditions. The item has:
- a central polygonal hole that allows precise seating on the cartridge shaft,
- two characteristic arbors with rounded ends, to which the springs are hooked,
- tailored shape with technology cutouts for easy installation and removal.
The use of the original factory-designed mount ensures that all cassette components - from the shaft to the springs to the bearings - are working in the correct axis and with the right amount of downward pressure. As a result, the user gets evenly aerated turf without the risk of turf damage caused by overly aggressive or uneven spring action.

How Cedrus spring attachment affects comfort and scarification results?
Efficient attachment of springs is one of the key elements that determine whether the operation of Cedrus scarifier is fast, comfortable and effective. Slight damage, developed over several seasons, can manifest itself:
- uneven operation of the cassette - some springs work weaker, and some work too aggressively,
- increased noise and vibration transmitted to the operator's hands,
- more frequent loss of springs or their skewing.
Replacing the worn out mount with a new Cedrus 780772 component restores the machine's factory operating characteristics. The lawn is aerated evenly, the operator experiences less fatigue, and the machine is not subjected to unnecessary strain. This is especially important for users who:
- they care for extensive home or recreational lawns,
- provide gardening services and need equipment that is reliable in all conditions,
- value the longevity and low operating costs of garden machinery.
Examples of applications in daily gardening work
Spring mount Cedrus cartridge scarifier CEDSMR11 CEDSMR12 780772 will come in handy wherever a scarifier or scarifier is used regularly:
- Home lawns - Preparing the turf after winter, removing felt and moss, improving water and fertilizer absorption.
- Gardens of housing estates and communities - Maintain the presentable appearance of the greenery around the buildings throughout the season.
- Recreational areas and sports facilities - Playing fields, hotel lawns, campsites, campgrounds, where the aesthetics and durability of the grass surface are of key importance.
Thanks to the use of the original Cedrus spring mount, each of these areas can be regularly and efficiently regenerated, without unnecessary downtime due to equipment failures.
Instructions and directions for use
- Always check the condition of the spring attachment and the springs themselves before starting work - if there are any visible cracks or deformations, the component should be replaced.
- After each season, it's a good idea to disassemble the cassette, clean it of grass residue, soil and rust, and then preserve the metal parts.
- Use only genuine Cedrus parts for assembly - this will ensure full structural compatibility and safe operation.
- In the case of intensive use (gardening services), it is recommended to periodically preventive replacement of the spring mount, even if it does not yet bear visible signs of damage.
FAQ - frequently asked questions
1. Does the Cedrus 780772 spring mount fit other cartridge models than the CEDSMR11 and CEDSMR12?
The mount is designed primarily for the Cedrus CEDSMR11 and CEDSMR12 scarifier cartridges. Use on other models is possible only after compatibility has been confirmed by the manufacturer or an authorized service center. For safety and to maintain the warranty, it is recommended to install only in the cassettes designed for it.
2. How to recognize that the spring mount needs to be replaced?
The need for replacement is evidenced by m.in.: pronounced looseness of connections, deformation or cracking of the component, problems with keeping the springs in the correct position, excessive vibration or uneven operation of the scarification cartridge. If you notice any of these symptoms, it's best to replace the mount with a new one right away.
3. Does replacing the spring mounts require specialized tools?
In most cases, a basic set of hand tools (wrenches, sockets, possibly pliers) will suffice. The design of the Cedrus clarifier cassette is designed to allow quick removal and installation of the service element by the user, without the need for a professional service center.
4. Does the use of the original mount affect the warranty of the device?
Yes, the use of genuine Cedrus parts - such as the 780772 spring mount - is one of the conditions for maintaining the manufacturer's full warranty. The use of substitutes of unknown origin may result in problems with claim recognition and an increased risk of defects.
5. How to take care of the spring mount so that it serves as long as possible?
At the end of the season, thoroughly clean the element from the remains of grass and soil, dry it and, if necessary, protect it with an anti-corrosion agent. Store the scarification cassette in a dry, ventilated place. Regular inspection and maintenance will significantly extend the life of the mount and the entire scarifier.
