What is the Oleo-Mac/Nibbi MH450/KAM13S Diesel 68329236E5A power unit?
Drive unit. The Oleo-Mac/Nibbi MH450/KAM13S DIESEL 68329236E5A is the heart of a professional single-axle micro-tractor, designed for intensive, year-round work on farms, orchards, gardens and in municipal applications. It is a complete drive unit with a 441 cm³ Emak K 9000 HD heavy-duty diesel engine, equipped with an oil-lubricated gearbox, multi-stage transmission and an independent power take-off (PTO) shaft. The drive unit itself is sold as standard - without wheels and without the ripper - so the user can flexibly choose the attachments and configuration to suit their needs.
In practice, this means that when you buy this unit, you get the basis for building your own extremely versatile single-axle micro-tractor, which can replace several separate machines: mower, plow, tiller, snowblower, sweeper and other equipment that works with the PTO.

Where the MH450/KAM13S Diesel unit is mounted and how it forms a complete micro-tractor?
Oleo-Mac/Nibbi MH450/KAM13S Diesel drive unit is designed for installation in Oleo-Mac and Nibbi series single axle micro tractors. It is the main module of the machine - to it are attached wheels of the appropriate size and a wide range of work attachments attached to the power take-off and front or rear working handles.
In practice, the assembly is as follows: you complete the drive unit with wheels of one of the available sizes (4.00-10", 5.00-10" or 6.50/80x12" with flanges), and then you select the appropriate attachments - for example, a tiller, flail mower, plow, sweeper or rotary snow plow. Thanks to the independent PTO, you can switch attachments and change the machine's purpose in minutes, without tools.
A single-axle micro-tractor configured in this way will do just fine:
- in home and professional gardens - for tilling the soil, mowing and landscaping,
- in orchards - for inter-row cultivation of soil, shredding of plant residues,
- in small and medium-sized farms - as a universal tool for light field work,
- in municipal applications - for clearing snow from sidewalks, paths and parking lots, as well as sweeping and maintaining green spaces.

Optimal use in every season
Oleo-Mac/Nibbi single-axle micro-tractors are for the demanding. Most traditional garden machinery has limited functionality, : mowing, cultivating, plowing, snow removal, sweeping etc. On the other hand, single-axle micro-tractors, with proper adaptation, can be used all year round and for all these functions.
These devices are designed primarily for gardeners, fruit growers, farmers and for some municipal work.Oleo Mac micro-tractor users gain the ability to "set" the tasks of their machine themselves.
Simple and robust design of the tractor equipped with an independent power take-off shaft (PTO) allows installation of multiple attachments in minutes, without the need for any tools.
Support oleo Mac micro-tractors is extremely easy thanks to a convenient (180-degree rotating) handle that allows you to adapt a machine working with a front-mounted attachment to work with a rear-mounted attachment in half a minute (no tools required).
The operator also has a wide range of speeds at his disposal and, thanks to multi-stage gearboxes, he can precisely select the machine speed that is optimal for the job at hand (speeds range from 1.05 km/h to 4.41 km/h).
Differential
The MH 450/KAM13S model additionally uses a locking differential that transmits equal torque to both drive wheels. If one of the wheels were to lose traction or not touch the road (which would significantly reduce the tractor's mobility in difficult terrain), this problem would be easily solved by the differential lock. When it is locked, the tractor will behave as if it had a rigid axle, allowing it to overcome the obstacle it encounters.
Security
Oleo Mac has also ensured user safety with the following safety features: a simple and effective engine cut-off switch, a clutch lock and, unusually, a power take-off engagement lock (which prevents accidental engagement of reverse gear if the power take-off drive is engaged and vice versa).

Emak K 9000 HD 441 cm³ diesel engine - power, economy and reliability in tough conditions
The MH450/KAM13S drive unit is equipped with a 441 cm³ Emak K 9000 HD diesel engine. Diesel engines are known for their high torque from low revs, which is of great importance during heavy work such as plowing, deep cultivation or working with a tiller in difficult, compacted soil. This ensures that the micro-tractor does not "choke" under load and maintains stable operating power.
The diesel engine is also much more fuel efficient compared to many gasoline counterparts. With a 4.7-liter fuel tank, you can plan for long work cycles without frequent refueling - ideal for seasonal field work when time and continuity are of the essence.
Oil tank with a capacity of 1.6 liters (recommended SAE15W40 oil) ensures stable lubrication of all components, increasing the life of the unit and minimizing the risk of failure. Combined with an oil-lubricated gearbox, you get a drive that is designed for years of intensive use with minimal maintenance costs.
In daily use, this means:
- you can easily cope with heavy clay soils or fallow land,
- you can run longer on a single tank of fuel, which is important for large acreages,
- you reduce fuel and service costs on a seasonal basis.
Geared transmission, 3+3 gears and differential - maximum traction and precise control of the micro-tractor
The drive of the Oleo-Mac/Nibbi MH450/KAM13S unit is based on an oil-lubricated gear transmission. This design ensures exceptional durability, resistance to heavy loads, and smooth power transmission to the wheels and PTO. Compared to simpler belt or chain solutions, the pinion gear requires less maintenance and better withstands prolonged, intensive operation in harsh terrain conditions.
You have at your disposal 3 forward gears and 3 reverse gears, which, combined with the multi-speed transmission, allows you to select the optimum driving speed from 1.05 km/h to 4.41 km/h. Lower speeds are ideal for heavy soil work, while higher speeds are ideal for moving faster with attachments such as a sweeper or snow plow.
In addition, the MH450/KAM13S model features a locking differential. A differential transmits torque to both wheels as standard, making maneuvering and cornering easier. However, in a situation where one of the wheels loses traction (for example, in mud, snow or when working on an embankment), the differential can be locked - then the tractor behaves as if it had a rigid axle, which significantly improves traction and the ability to overcome obstacles.
Such a solution works especially well:
- when working on sloping terrain, where one wheel may temporarily float above the ground,
- on sinuous, muddy accesses to fields or orchards,
- in winter, when clearing snow from driveways and paths covered with icy snow.
Convenient operation, 180° reversible steering wheel and quick accessory changes
One of the most important advantages of the MH450/KAM13S drive unit is the following comfortable, 180° reversible steering wheel. This allows you to change the machine's operating configuration from front to rear attachments or vice versa in about 30 seconds, without tools. This is the key solution that determines the versatility of the micro-tractor.
For example:
- in front mode, you can mount a mower, rotovator or sweeper for excellent working visibility,
- in rear-mounted mode, conveniently connect a plow, transport trailer or other attachments that require a different operator position.
The quick-connect system for attachments makes:
- in a matter of minutes, you switch from spring work (cultivation, soil tilling) to mowing lawns and meadows,
- in autumn, you can quickly replace the attachment with a leaf sweeper or a flail mower for shredding plant debris,
- in winter you connect a rotary plow or snow blade, without having to invest in a separate snow removal machine.
Safety and ergonomics - solutions to protect the operator and the machine
The manufacturer has ensured that the MH450/KAM13S drive unit is not only efficient, but also safe and comfortable to use. As standard, you get:
- simple and effective motor switch - allowing you to stop work immediately in an emergency situation,
- clutch lock - Protecting against uncontrolled movement of the machine,
- pTO engagement lock - preventing inadvertent engagement of the reverse gear when the PTO is engaged and vice versa, which is crucial for operator safety and the durability of the attachment.
Such an extensive safety system makes the drive unit ideal not only for experienced operators, but also for those who are new to micro-tractors, such as new employees of a farm or utility company. Ergonomic layout of levers and handles and well-balanced design further reduce fatigue during prolonged work.
Use of Oleo-Mac/Nibbi MH450/KAM13S Diesel drive unit in practice
Thanks to an independent power take-off shaft with a speed of 973 rpm./min, robust transmission and wheel selection options, the MH450/KAM13S drive unit is truly versatile. With one drive, you can perform a wide range of tasks all year round:
