Lawn scarification and aeration are two important lawn care procedures that help keep the lawn in excellent condition.

The MasterCut TXW40/212 scarifier comes with a set of rollers that are used for:

1. Scarification:

- It consists of vertical incision of the turf

- Removes excess moss and dead grass (felt)

- Improves air, water and nutrient access to roots

2. Aeration:

- It involves pricking the lawn and creating holes in the soil

- Loosens compacted soil

- Increases access of oxygen, water and nutrients to the roots

Both treatments are best performed in spring, when the grass grows most vigorously, and in autumn.
