BLUE BIRD Switzerland

BLUE BIRD INDUSTRIES was founded in December 1978. The factory's business consisted of manufacturing petrol scythes and trimmers with 2-stroke internal combustion engines of its own design. The company's first two engines were 31cc and 38cc and were fitted to Blue Bird branded trimmers. The new machines were an immediate success on the market, prompting the company to invest in new moulds and equipment to expand its own range of machines.

The excellent quality of the products on offer, the efficient after-sales service and a robust and flexible sales network have allowed the Blue Bird brand to be widely distributed throughout Europe and in Asian and South American countries. In order to maintain the excellent quality of its products at a consistent level over the years and to remain a reference in the European market, Blue Bird continues to invest in its human and technological resources.

Staff training, development and competence led the company to obtain ISO 900/2000 certification in January 2003, demonstrating its commitment to quality and the strength of its organisation.

Achieving this is considered the beginning, not the end, of the next stage in the continuous improvement of the quality of the product and the company itself. With the advent of new European emission regulations, Blue Bird has designed and launched a completely new range of environmentally friendly engines, covering 5 different displacements.
